Aatami: Why did you swap the British accent with an American one?
avatar
Krankor: If it's anything like Disney, the bad guys always have an English accent. All heroes have American accents (that's not a dig btw, it's just the way it works in entertainment (movies)).

Indeed but... Simon was supposed to be a sarcastic Brit teen. It just doesn't seem right when he has the American accent.
I think they want to hear stuff like........
What was it like making Simon the Sorcerer 3D?
What was your favorite brain food while making them?
Was Harry Potter a rip off of our favorite nerdy sorcerer?
If we were on a deserted island with 2 naked chicks would you be the towel boy?
Was Einstein wrong about his theory of the quantum flux of the universe?
Did Chris Barrie ever actually play the game? Did he like it?

And how do actors feel about voicing computer game characters?
I'm a huge fan of Chris Barrie myself (Red Dwarf, anyone?), and I'd love to hear some comments from him about it, although I know he's not the one you are going to ask these questions.
Moronic question of the day: The Secret of Monkey Island was, indeed, a giant turtle wandering around in the emptiness of the empty space?

I'd like to know why Chris Barrie didn't do the voice for Simon in the second game... when you play them both in succession (as I've just done) it's quite a wierd transition.
Simon 1 still is my favorite adventure game, Simon 3D sucked because was 3D, everybody was doing 3D at that time it was the next big step or so they thought. But if I remember well before going to 3D, Simon 3 was developed as another 2D adventure, I was curious if there are still any concepts or paintings from that stage.
Oh and of course, how were the background done in Simon 1 and 2, painted then scanned or digital? Can we get to see any of those awesome background paintings in original for some desktop use? :)
also forgot to ask:
who did the background paintings in Simon 1 & 2? does he or her have a website or something?
Such a cool idea..too bad I don't know anything about the series (yet).
I hope you do more of these!

kitzkar: Oh I think I can guess the number 1 question on all of our minds: "Why, oh why did you go 3D?"

Answered in the Q & A section of the old Simon the Sorcerer 3D web site.

A small amount of artwork from the earlier 2D version of Simon the Sorcerer 3 was available in the Q & A section of the old Simon the Sorcerer 3D web site.

Nowadays the old is suddenly in again with remakes of good classic games like Monkey Island. Would you consider a possibility of remaking any of the Simon games and what would you leave intact/change?
What do you think of games delivered in episodes, and If you own the rights to the Simon games, would you consider making an release of new Simon the Sorcerer games as episodes?
There seems to be something of a revival of the adventure genre recently. Is that something you're keen to capitalise on? Or do you see it as a passing fad?
What do you think of episodic adventures by companies like Telltale? Is that something you'd consider doing yourself.
You claimed that the 3D direction taken with the 3rd instalment was due to the need to secure funding. Something which was impossible with a 2D title. Is the rise of digital distribution and the possibilities of self publishing something that could afford you greater creative freedom in future?
Recently Lucasarts gave Monkey Island a new lick of paint. It proved successful. Are you tempted to do something similar with your older titles? If so, is there anything you'd change about them, aside from making them prettier?
What 'was the inspiration for the game?

Kirben: Answered in the Q & A section of the old Simon the Sorcerer 3D web site.

I haven't seen that FAQ, thanks for the link. Apparently, the answer to my question is "2D point n click is dead". Yes, 3D killed it.
Back on topic, I'd like to ask them this question:
Following the poor ratings Simon 3 and 4 received, do you have any intention at all to move back to 2D?
