It's middle of the summer vacations, so the pace has slowed down a bit. Well, looking at all the promos we're running and the recent releases you can't really say it's "silly season" at GOG.com, but you know what we mean. We decided to take a more in-depth look at the games we've released, especially the ones from Electronic Arts, and chat with some of the developers that made those classics.

Thanks to our own Silencer - Vagabond - we got in touch with Tony Zurovec, the lead designer of Crusader games, and asked him some questions about these awesome classics. As we love getting you involved in pretty much everything we do, we'd like you to ask your questions about Crusader: No Remorse to Tony. We'll pick 5 most interesting ones and forward them to him to get the answers, while the authors of those questions will receive a GOG.com game of their choice(this includes the awesome The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings!). Post your questions in the comments section until end of Sunday, July 24th.
I'd like to ask where the source code is these days, and if there is any chance at all of it surfacing to aid the developers of the Crusader / Ultima source port, Pentagram.
I recently bought the game from GOG, and have been playing it for the first time. What a fantastic game! How did you decide on what gameplay mechanics would be involved in the game, and how did you decide on the level of detail in the mechanics? I'm just impressed with the amount of items and objects in the environment which the player can interact with.

Thanks for making such a fantastic game, and taking the time to answer the GOG community's questions!
The similarities to a certain bounty hunter from a well known franchise are quite obvious, since George Lucas is usually very protective about the content of said franchise: did that cause any problems? Are those similarities intentional?
A rather obvious question would be "Is there any hope of ever seeing a sequel, preferably somewhat faithful to the original, and with you involved in the development?" I'm guessing the answer would be "No", but one has to ask, right?
In the Live Action scenes of the game, do any of the development crew make cameos?
What movies or books did you guys see as a big influence on the storyline for the game?

Every time I watch movies like The Running Man or Robocop, I can't help but think you guys took a lot of the ideas showing a dystopian future from these films and ran with them (wonderfully I would say).

I remember playing this and the sequel when it came out, with the polished outcome of the controls, story and feel, what was the thing that was most tweaked in testing, was there something that just came back as 'this doesn't work, make it better?'
Were these guys your primary source of inspiration for the visuals of the Silencers?

I would like to ask Tony if he has any plans to make a full, "proper" game in the near future, instead of the casual games he's been involved with in the recent past.

It seems like a terrible waste of talent for someone who was a major part of some of Origin's major releases to dedicate himself to such "empty" games.

In an age were you can easily sell your game digitally, I'm sure he could pull off something else, be it another action game, rpg, whatever, and sell it. I know I would buy it.
If you answer my question, can the game I choose to have for free be Crusader: No Remorse? :P
What would be the first thing Silencer would say after taking off his helmet? ;)

Was there any supercool feature, funky idea or anything you badly wanted to include in your Crusader series but couldn’t because of technical/time constraints? How would Crusader look like if you had the chance to add anything you wanted?
How do you feel about Vagabond licking Crusader games?

What are the most important things that you are proud of about the game, and maybe more importantly, what would you have done differently with the game having the knowledge you have now?
