Thank you all for your replies, being well wishes, or condemnations.
The thing is, this game hit me in my weak spot. Strategy (and for once in a rts, non clickfest), ww3, 80's, and good graphics. I haven't gone online yet, I want to unlock units for it through the interesting so far single player campaign. Which btw has some replayability since there are several objectives, primary and secondary, and depending how good you do, you earn more points/stars to use in unlocking more units etc. So, if you only care for the single player aspect, as long as you don't mind repeating missions till perfection, you can do much worse.
What I do now is put loud 80's music in the background and I play this game. 99 luftballons while crossing fields with tanks is....a good experience.. Mind you, I already have a similar, though turn based, game ( and yes far more complex), in the form of WINSPMBT which I love and I play every day PBEM for years now, but I had nothing in the real time format I wanted for a change. To be more exact, in the RTS format.
All I know is so far I have played, (according to the always modest steam) 3.2 hours, in two sessions. Which is not bad for having played only the first 3 intro missions.
When I finish with the campaign (or unlock most USA units) I plan on going online. And....80's music while destroying the enemy is always fun.
tfishell, what is Black March? ok, just googled it. Not buying a game or DVD this month, but then go on and buy games through Origin, or UBI drmshit, is not my idea of a protest. Good luck though to those who do it.
