I found re-releases of Age of Empires Complete, Age of Mythology and Rise of Nations that are published by Ubisoft of all companies, listed on Amazon.com for cheap. They are all around $10. each. However, the user comments about each are a mixed bag when it comes to them running in Windows 7 and also at least some of them do not come with valid keys for online play.

Personally, I don't care about the online play/keys issues with any of these particular games. I do wonder if they all can be cajoled into running well in Windows 7 though. Anyone play these in Windows 7? If I recall correctly, I think for Age of Empires II you need to kill explorer and then all is good. I'm not sure about any of the other ones.

These are tempting offers if the games would actually work.

I wish Microsoft wanted more money and would make these all available via GOG! I bet they would sell a lot of them. The re-release of Age of Empires III on Steam certainly seemed to go very well for Microsoft with strong sales. I think the original Fable sold very well for them too which they just released on Steam recently. Maybe these are signs of good things to come.

I'd love to see all this stuff on GOG along with the Close Combat games and Freelancer. Speaking of which, anyone know if Freelancer works in Win7? Amazon.com has a Jewelcase edition of that for cheap also.
