How funny!! I happen upon this thread today and I just happend to pick up a copy of this game at my local Target just yesterday. FOR $2.48!!! I found it sitting all alone in the "value software" section (where they have all the games that aren't in boxes) and couldn't pass it up for under three bucks. I think that, even if I only play it for a couple of hours, I'll certainly get my money's worth of entertainment out of my purchase. I just hope it doesn't suck, as some folks have indicated here....
Crash
I put alot of hours into this game, and quite a few into Beyond Divinity which as I recall started following the end of the first one so was a clear sequel?
Great game, preferable to Diablo as it had much more story and variety and really had that "must see all of the map" attraction. Didn't get any crashes at all, very stable for me.
Should still have the CD somewhere...

for me(xp machine), it crashed occasionaly when i entered or exit building. when the roof goes fading out/in. i think it had something to do with direct draw
I've had no problems on my single-core processor system running XP but my quad-core doesn't run it stably. too lazy to post system specs, I have like 5 machines.
ANYHOW, I really liked this game because it was more interactive than Diablo, had some funky character interaction, packed many hours of play, looked good enough, and did not hog system resources.
Oh, yeah -- fond memories of Divine Divinity. Very good action-RPG.
Beyond Divinity, I also have that. I'm glad Patch 1.49 removed the StarForce disc-check completely. I really should finish BD, as it is good.
That name sounds really familiar. I think I might have played a demo. Diablo-esque rpg right?

Yes.
But, it is not a linear.
And the class system is much more open than Diablo's.
A fair amount of quests have multiple results to them.
Remember it? I love it. What Ultima 8 could/should have been. Unfortunately mislabled as a Diablo clone.
World interaction, free questing, and great music are the big draws.
