A friend of mine wishes to play this game with one of her friends who is an F1 fan. Figured I could ask if anyone has a spare code for it laying around that I could trade for and pass it on?

$17.10 through amazon is not too shabby....it was recently $13.59 just over a week ago on steam=( It may go back on at 66% off for the steam summer sale or 50% off..

She's grabbed a copy off eBay so hopefully it will arrive pretty soon (she's really excited about playing this with her friend).

Does she have a good steering wheel with a gearshift? It's awesome if she has :D

She doesn't play many racing games, so she doesn't have a wheel herself. She's going to borrow one (just wheel/pedals I think) and if she prefers the wheel, but the one she borrows is lacking, I'll be lending her my G25 (which is currently "in the way" due to having to move to another room during decorating).

On the other hand, professional F1 drivers change their gears on a steering wheel with buttons, as far as I know, so gearshift shouldn't be necessary or maybe even uncomfortable, given the speed an acceleration.

If she is new to racing games then she does not need a gearsgift, i would keep F1 2012 on auto for her since the shifting is superfast.

Not new to racing games. she just doesn't play them enough to warrant a wheel. The last racing game she played (that I know of) was Need for Speed 2 SE a month or so ago.

Apparently, she's going into this co-op campaign on maximum difficulty/realism. What can I say? She likes a challenge and will probably step up to it and do well, despite her jokes of crossing the line in 31st place :)

wow, max diff/realism lacking a proper wheel...shes got balls=) *grins* well, good for her, i am impressed. I do like F1 though although i suck at it.
