I was just sitting here browsing the forums and from out of nowehere a memory of playing this game hit me:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Tower_(game)

I was about 10-11 years old when I got the game and I played it for hours on end. I'd play it by myself if no one else was around. Good times.

Anyone else remember some GOBG (Good Old Board Game) experiences?

Edit: Holy smokes! A sealed version of the game sell for over $500 on eBay!

Never played Dark Tower. My mates and i trying to figure out how to play The Valley of the Four Winds was good times. Escape From Colditz was a game we played a huge amount and all i remember of that is screaming "Do or Die!" at each other when that card was played.

Oh, yeah, I remember this game. It was enjoyable. If I recall, you had to battle brigands and monsters while you travel to the tower. It rotates as the game plays I think.
I love this game. I remember being offered this as a Christmas gift from my folks one year and turning it down in favor of something else. I've literally regretted it ever since. Five or six years ago a working game was going for around 200 dollars on eBay. This game would be perfect on a handheld or on XBox Live Arcade.
I had that game for years. Lost it in the Fire a few years back. Wish I could have been reimbursed $500.00 + for it.

Now wait a minute, Homer. The asking price is over $500, but that doesn't mean it'll sell. You could keep an eye on it & see if the price comes down over the next month or so. And if it doesn't sell & he doesn't re-list it, you might be well to make him an offer anyway...he may re-list it just for you. It happens sometimes! :-)

Excellent point, Chauncey. I'll have to keep my eye on it. Honestly, I probably can't justify paying even $100 for it. Even if I did tell my wife that I was getting it so that I could introduce it to my son some day. But who knows? Maybe I could get lucky.

By the way, I have not forgotten our arrangement with the Arcanum game you gifted me. I still intend to post my thoughts on the game. I just haven't gotten very far into it yet. Do like what I have played so far, though.

That's good to hear. Looking forward to it. :-)
There is a used one at a more decent price. Still on Ebay.
