I will ad my big fat negative to the group. I was really looking forward to purchasing it, but I need and want an offline mode. No offline mode, no purchase. I wonder what their sales numbers were for the game. I'm sure they would have been double if they had an offline mode. I would have even purchased it through Steam.

Darvond: Actually, its not the DRM, the fact that its locked behind a client, or the fact that it really isn't SimCity anymore, or that the AI of the game somehow managed to be worse than SimCity IV, or that EA directly lied to our faces and that Maxis is a soulless husk of the software toy company it once was...but rather the combined overall factors thereof.

SimCity 2013 is the anti-GOG, to be honest. However, I tip my hat and wish you well on your endeavor to tame cthulhu.

gbaz69: Lets not forget the tiny... TINY cities :(.
not touching the game again until they change the plot size. The sizes make it equal to a sim town or sim village rather than a sim city. Let's not forget the bugs that get introduced every patch or nonexistent modding
I have the game & am playing on Oceanic 1
