Hi everyone I was wondering if their were any Ninja RPG for the PC. I saw when I did a Google search that there is a web browser game called ninja RPG but that doesn't really interest me. I remember playing the Tenchu games on the PlayStation 2 and I really liked them even the cheesy cut scenes.
How ninja, exactly?

Do you care about the stealth aspect or the... naruto aspect?

There are great stealth games for PC, yet I haven't come across anything with an actual ninja, with katanas and such swag.

EDIT: Dammit, didn't notice the RPG part. Nevermind everything I've just written.

The only ninja RPGs I can recall offhand are the Izuna games for the DS (which are beginner's mystery dungeon games with sexy character designs and not really anything to do with ninjas at all), and Inindo: Way of the Ninja for the SNES which I haven't ever played but is probably more like what you're looking for since it's made by Koei.

Don't know any PC games, sorry.
Samurai works? http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-KENSHI/kenshi-alpha
What is a ninja RPG to you? If you just want a RPG with a ninja character class, there is the Wizardry series (the ninja is one of the best classes there) and Wizards&Warriors. And the assasin from the Diablo II expansion is very ninja-like. But if you want a game that really has a strong ninja theme, I can't help you.

Too bad, I'd like to see a game like Shinobi or Ninja Gaiden, but with an open world and RPG elements...
jade empire?
Like RFS81 suggested, there are quite a few RPGs where you can have a ninja character e.g. Wizardry. The only RPG I know of that lets you play as a ninja is Throne of Darkness.

Anyway if you don't mind treading on non-canon grounds, it's not hard to find ninja mods for games like Morrowind too. Mount & Blade also has samurai/ninja mods too, if you consider M&B an RPG.

"The Last Ninja" trilogy is less RPG and more Adventure, but it's got some decent puzzles. And get anything but the C64 Virtual Console versions. They're not patched and contain game-breaking bugs.
It's not an RPG, but the Tenchu games (for consoles) are ninja stealth games.
Still thinking about it and I cant figure PC+RPG+Ninja maybe someone should create game in that niche
Muramasa: the Demon Blade is a sidescrolling action-RPG with lots of ninjas in it. It's for the Wii though, so it isn't a real video game or anything like that.
A couple of years ago I was also looking for something like this. One with stealth a la Splinter Cell, and stats & RPG leveling a la VtM:Bloodlines, and for PC. I didn't find one, but that kind of game would be great IMHO.

Just play Wizardry 8. No Splinter-style stealth action, but Ninja is a selectable calss.

Thanks, but first-person perspective often gives me motion/simulator sickness (which is why I play Thief: Deadly Shadows, another excellent stealth game, strictly in third-person perspective). Besides, I like the stealth gameplay in Splinter Cell, and I just kind of hoped there is a Ninja RPG game with stealth like that.
