I just remembered there's a really weird translation thing in the English version TWW - there's meant to be a 'depression' in the ground but like a brain fart into a thesaurus it somehow turns into 'A gloomy dip'!
Oh, I didn't notice you asked about E&H.

E&H: Breakout can bug out gloriously. Like, it encourages you to use stuff on stuff to hear the reactions, but sometimes the some weird interaction takes place and you lose an item. Or get a duplicate. Or bug yourself out of ever finishing the game some other way. It tries for Lucas Arts "never die" approach, but the bugs turn it into a "save in a new slot every step of the way" early-KQ experience.

Wow, that sounds horrible. They never bothered to patch up their beta?

I played the English edition of the Breakout available on GG. It had funky bugs. Gog has an English version based on the German Special Edition of the game, that has a slightly fixed engine. The problem is, the Special Edition was never properly localized, so the version here has English language files duct taped onto the German release. There's a new bug - check the E&H forums here, apparently even one of the endings is broken now.

The GalaStore version of Breakout gave me a game-breaking bug about 3/4 of the way into the game... But that was an oooooold version which used .csv files for saved games, lol. Daedalic support gave me the latest version and a GOG user gave me a saved game at the proper location, and I didn't encounter any bugs from that point on.
