I love this game. I have it on CDs but I want a digital download version of it. Any chance of seeing this anytime soon? I know it's owned by Activision, so I don't see any obstacles unless there are licensing issues I am not aware of. I know it was suddenly pulled from Steam and other Digital Download sites, so I'm not sure.

There are supposed licensing issues (soundtrack, maybe ?). The Mac version was reportedly rejigged to allow uploading user creations to Youtube, so the PC version may require similar treatment (assuming the source code is still available).

It's more than three years since the game was pulled, so the chances of its reappearance may be on the south side of 'slim'.

...and what's wrong with that? He isn't trolling.

On-topic: I'm afraid the best answer, Voodoo128, is the Unofficial GOG Mantra: It'll be released when it's released - if we can make a deal with the publisher and can remove any legal issues.

Sorry about the misunderstanding. :( Basically, because I didn't have a voice or visuals to judge context, I completely missed what you were actually trying to say. (I hate it when that happens!)
I would love to see that game, I probably put 100 hours into it when it came out.

Perhaps he does post but always gets downrepped just enough for his rep to remain at zero.

Back on the subject, I believe the reason why The Movies for PC isn't available digitally (It used to be on steam several years ago) was that a link for a website it worked with expired and was taken by a porn site, so the game started redirecting users to porn and, since Lionhead didn't fix it (I think they alleged they didn't have the source code anymore) they had to pull it.

That's an odd argument to make against the guy. It's not like his first post was to trash GOG. Perhaps he just wasn't aware of the community forums or stopped logging in for awhile.

Anyways, I'd also like to see The Movies on here. It always interested me when I was younger, but never enough for me to sacrifice my pre-job days money as a teen to go out and buy it. If it was pulled from Steam and other outlets then that isn't a good sign since it means rights are in the process of or have changed hands. Sometimes this can be a good thing, such as Double Fine reacquiring the rights to Psychonauts, and other times it can be a bad thing, such as classic Midway games being pulled from digital outlets or the upcoming cloud of uncertainty over the future of Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics being sold on here and other outlets when the rights transistion to Bethesda from Interplay at the starts of 2014.
Got my copy still :D
