As I told the devs, I'm not buying it as they never fixed an issue I was having with the original game -- despite me sending them screenshots, bug reports, etc., on several occasions over a 2 year period.

Thus I have no confidence in them that, in the event of a similar bug in A2, they will fix it.

I don't do pre-orders, but I hope the game comes to GOG when released. I was unexpectedly gifted the first one (along with a second game) by a generous community member when I was only looking to make a trade. There are some very sweet people on these forums.

As and when it comes DRM-free, yes. Just out of curiosity, what was the bug?

A sizeable portion of the screen on both the left and right sides of the screen is cut off in certain resolutions. Most notable when trying to read the tower info/help screens. Been there since day one, and it's still there today.

Just stumbled over it by accident. Never knew they're working on a second Anomaly game. Looks pretty good again. But it's also an initial Steam release only again. I may eventually buy it when it comes DRM free, either in a Humble Bundle, where I could also get the Linux version, or on GOG.

Assuming one can trust that store that is. I do not know it. But still it is cheap if that store do not cheat you.

Anomaly 2 is 14 Eur at steam.
and Anomaly Defenders is 6 $ here at GOG now (normal 10$) and 10 Eur at steam.
