Anyone here played this game?

I've never actually played it until recently as I finally got IMGMOUNT to work correctly with DOSBox. And... it's a surprisingly it's pretty good, you can tell that Bethesda learned their lesson from the overly ambitious (and horribly bugged) Daggerfall and decided to make an RPG on a far smaller and more focused scale. It's basically the dungeon crawling cut out of Daggerfall and polished and perfected.

I'm not sure if I would even classify this as an RPG, more like DOOM with stats, but I'm enjoying myself. Playing a High Elf Spellsword, having shield and cause damage as starting spells was really helpful and made my character into pretty much a "battle mage" right from the start.

Would be great to see this game on GOG.
Not played that one, but I have got a copy of the other spinoff, The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard.

It's a more structured, linear take on the TES series, with a touch of Zelda and Tomb Raider influence, as well as an entirely predefined main character. Also a ***** to get running on modern systems, although I believe DOSbox has made a lot of progress towards that since last time I tried. Similar GLIDE-related issues to the original Tomb Raider, and that's here, so...
Battlespire is a guilty pleasure for me. Despite having less than 1 year in developement time, buggier than a roach motel and dreary soundtrack, I always found it fun.

I'll admit though, the first couple of levels are rather boring and uninspired but once you get past those, it actually gets pretty cool.

I had got a chance to play Multiplayer years back with a guy named Raptormeat, who use to manage one of the mod websites for morrowind.

I'd still recommend this to hardcore elder scrolls fans but it's seriously flawed.

I'm hoping Bethesda will release Battlespire and/or Redguard at the next series anniversary like they did with Arena and Daggerfall. :)
