Sounds interesting, I hope we see plenty of videos of people flipping the fuck out.
I'm looking forward to it. Frictional and thechineseroom both make excellent games and thechineseroom has proved that they're capable of scary games as well (Korsakovia scared the pants off of me at times).
I think I'm not ready for another Amnesia. The last one was a bit... unsettling.
More Amnesia... This news is both awesome and terrible. Awesome because Amnesia is a great game. Terrible because it does a number on my mental integrity.
Want.

Now.
I'm still reeling from the last playthrough of Amnesia myself
I'm currently playing through the first one, actually. I'm at the sewers currently. It's a pretty good game, but unfortunately it suffers from the same thing that other games where you start with an amnesia. It just ceases to be scary once you get the idea of what's going on.

Edit: But I'm still very much looking forward to the next one. It's an entertaining game nonetheless with a great atmosphere and entertaining puzzles.

Navagon: Yes.
Goooooodd
I still gotta play the first game. I don't know how the hell I am going to do that, since I was such a pussy trying to beat the demo. I'll give it another shot.
Can't stop throwing money at monitor now...

ha! I know what you mean.

Looking back, I'm really glad that they've done so well. I remember when Penumbra Overture was out, and practically nobody knew about the game. Or at least that's the impression I got... I was much younger and less savy than I am now -__-
Awesome! Can't wait.
You're right, it wasn't really obscure, but most people didn't care much for it. The reviews and press it got worked against it. TBH I still don't know where most of the criticisms for Overture and BP come from, because even taking away the pom-poms and rose-tinted glasses, I still felt like I was playing a completely different game than what some reviews described. Am I glad I didn't actually buy into the reviews, and eventually bought the Penumbra Collection.

I also think Frictional's early tech demo worked against them. The tech demo was impressive, technically, but it wasn't really scary. The Penumbra games are very different from what was showcased in that tech demo, and some people might have actually taken the tech demo as Frictional's standard.
