Yeah well, it turns out I was just slightly mistaken on how I'm able to use that credit.
I can only use it in the app store and those absolutely can't be gifted I'm sure of it.

No worries...I have about 2000 amazon coins (supposedly $20 worth) myself that are redeemable only for apps...except none of the apps look particularly interesting or useful.
