Anyone have any experience with these? One of the Nickelodean channels finally started showing Invader Zim again (I view it as a birthday gift...), but only for this month (until the next time they want ratings from the sick and twisted demographic). So I did some researching, and apparently Amazon sells the series on DVD.

It looks like they basically just take the videos they sell on their marketplace thing and burn it to a DVD. And at those prices, I am kind of icky on buying them.
That being said, does anyone have experience with this service thing? I know it won't be great quality (TV quality), but it will be legal and show some small degree of support for Nick to once again make the incredibly strange decision of hiring a guy who is known for a comic called "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac".
So has anyone actually bought something like this? How is the menu interface? I know it won't be shiny, but it is at least functional? Or is it just a folder full of avis?
Thanks.

Invader ZIM did have an official DVD release at one point (I'm looking at it on my shelf right now). With that in mind the DVD-R release is probably the same disc just burnt on demand. Especially considering it's directly from Amazon and the price they're charging for it.
I wouldn't be too worried about ordering it myself.

I have not bought this but if you really want ZIM on DVD there is a Complete ZIM Package. I payed less the $35.00 for it.
I'm not too sure if they're still available, but check out eBay - it's where I got my copies.
I'm interested in this too - I have intended to pick up Doug this way for a while now. I wouldn't buy only the first season of Zim for that much, seeing as the complete series used to be available as others have said, and for much less than what Amazon is asking.
Yuck, 40 dollars for a shitty DVD-R, which will be unreadable in five years if you're lucky no matter how good the "Media ID" is inside the disk? Why should I pay for something I can easily do myself at home?
They're crazy, no really....

That's just shockingly bad. LOL Especially when you think about the copyright warnings on DVDs that tell you all about the superior quality of genuine products.
Most DVDs are £3-5 now. Seasons like this are $10-15. Twice as much for a DVD-R of all things is really, really taking the piss.

Gundato: *snip*

Check out the official Mediablasters site. They were the first (and only?) company to release the Zim series. When I had first wanted to purchase from them, they only delivered to US and Canadian residents, which is why I turned to eBay.
The entire series is going for $39US, I believe.
