Sorry if someone already posted this but I see that Alice Madness Returns buyers on the consoles will also get to play the first game as a free DLC. Not sure if that will only be for pre-order people or always. Hope things means someone will also get the digital distribution rights for the pc version. I have only heard the deal mentioned for consoles so far. If GOG could get the first game I would still buy it from them.

Sweet! I just bought a PS3 last weekend, both Alice games would go very nicely with it!

Guess that settles it, XBox 360 version unless the PC version comes with both better graphics and no activation DRM.

Not good news, only people who buy it straight from EADM get Ailce! Everyone else, especially those who buy it retail, you're not getting it!

How does one make a game "HD" when it already ran in "1200p" 10 freaking years ago?

(And yes I know they probably changes the HUD and maybe spruced up some textures, but the point is I am tired of this "HD" marketing term that means nothing).

Edit: Actually they use the term "remastered" in the article, so Orcish is the one I am yelling at I guess.

As for the deal I always buy boxed games, so it matters little to me. I own the original game too, so if it's a straight port I don't really care anyway. We shall see... if they re-release it on its own and it is actually improved I will buy it.

Yes, the EA store sucks, but the fact that an updated version of the PC game even exists is good news, since that means it could always be added to other packages from other retailers or simply sold on its own. "The updated version of the original Alice, which received positive reviews upon its release in 2000, will boast an HD graphics upgrade."

Not sure what that means specifically or technically, I assume it simply means "better eye-candy".
