Leh rolls 6/7 - Slaying. Minor Demon (2) suffered 32 damage. Minor Demon (2) is defeated. Party wins!

OOC: Much easier than anticipated... interesting.

Story update soon.
OOC: What was easier?

OOC: Defeating the demons. Thought it would be a tougher challenge but the 6 on 2 (or rather, 3 on 1) was enough to overpower them relatively quickly

Your journey through the Unquenched Marshes is long and plodding. You do not have enough gold for a stay at the inn in Endurse M'Koof, and though the villagers are friendly enough, they refuse to put you up for the night.

Instead, you are left to camp on the outskirts of the settlement. You find little rest here.

OOC: No HP recovered.

The journey from Endurse M'Koof to Hammerhall is surprisingly quick, as you have begun to learn how to travel through the marshes. By late afternoon the next day, you have arrived at the gates of Hammerhall.

OOC: Quest 1 completed. Will save experience points until the end of the campaign.

Quest 2: Investigate Kemuel's Disappearance in Hammerhall

You have arrived at the iron gates of Hammerhall. A watchtower stands above you, some fifty feet tall. Despite the intimidating presence of a cadre of guards, you are quickly ushered into the city with little hassle.

The settlement bustles with trade. Merchants have come here from all around the world to ply their wares.

Nearby, several Vasar traders guide a caravan of camels into the marketplace. You wonder how camels could have traversed the marshes safely, especially while they are burdened down by barrels and crates.

Inside the city, the streets are neatly paved and travel is easy. The public areas are loud and crowded.

You suspect that Kemuel is somewhere in the city, having come willingly or unwillingly. Long ago, he belonged to an order named the Knights of the Ton. When the King fell out of favor, so too did the Knights. Most were rounded up and executed, but Kemuel managed to escape alive and joined the Black Brigade. It is your mission to find him and ensure his safety. You will need his help in the upcoming war against the minions of the Lich and their servants ("the primitives") if they should ever return.

Places the party can visit in Hammerhall:

1. Longfellow's Inn (A large inn with a bar)

2. A small, unnamed tavern.

3. The commercial district (though you do not have enough gold to actually buy anything right now.)

4. An unidentified temple.

5. The palace.

These are the best options, but you can feel free to explore other areas if you would like. Or, you can ask whether there are certain types of places in the city and I will let you know.

So, where to? We'll head out as soon as the party has reached a rough consensus on where they want to go.

"I vote we take a rest at the inn. Too many of us be injured." The Vasar spoke softly
"I need some wine, women, and song...to the inn we go!" yelled Jack.
Leh

"I'm not injured!" yelled Leh while spitting blood
OOC: Are there any places we could find work. Also are there any animals that might have seen anything useful I could talk too.
The party has arrived at Longfellow's Inn.

The place is musty and in need of a good cleaning.

Vasar traders line the bar, with hoods over their heads.

There is also a tall, dark and slender young man here with a bald head, pounding back ale like it's going out of style. Upon your arrival, the man glances at you for a moment but immediately turns away and begins tending to his drink once more.

There are several tables in the back, hardly touched by candlelight. Human men occupy most of the tables.

Though it is crowded, the inn is quiet.

To your left there is a fair-skinned human female with white hair, softly playing a harp on a small stage.

The innkeeper smiles. "There's the prices," he says, pointing to a sign atop the bar. "Let me know if you gentlemen need anything."

The sign reads,

Longfellow's Ale: 1 GP
Hot Cider: 2 GP
Soup: 3 GP
Single Room (for 1): 6 GP
Large Room (for 5-6): 25 GP

OOC: GP is gold

pazzer: OOC: Are there any places we could find work.
OOC: Of the adventuring type? Your best bet would be to ask around. But then it might take time away from your goal.

Also are there any animals that might have seen anything useful I could talk too.
A few camels lined up outside, belonging to the Vasar traders. Feel free to speak to them while the rest head inside.

"Let see if there are any red heads in there," i said before followin Jack.
The Vasar turned and spotted a few of his people as he moves towards the traders. "Greetings Brothers." The Male stated, raising his hand in greeting. "Do you have news of our people?"
Lucas walks up to the bartender and asks for soup and some hot cider, and sits down and eats while he listens to woman playing the harp.
A Vasar trader greets Exile, "Hello traveler. You are aware of the situation in Endirum, are you not? Sit down and grab a drink.

The bartender gives Lucas his soup and cider. The harpist winks at Lucas.

"There you go," says the bartender, diverting Lucas' eyes from the musician, "that will be 5 gold. I am Krashin, the owner's son. So, what brings you to Hammerhall, stranger?'

Exile sat down before the Vasar trades "No. What news comes from Endirum?" The Male asked, tilting his head in curiosity

OOC: Non-Human FTW!
"Helping a couple of associates of mine looking for someone missing in action. We were in the battle of Northbrook. Now we come here to Hammerhall looking for him," Lucas replied before taking a sip of his cider before handing Krashin give 6 gold coins.

OOC: Eh misspelled Hammerhall as Hammerhell.
