Aliasalpha: Yes but 4 player multiplayer deathmatch is about as far from the bond licence as you can get.
The single player game was just as good. It's just that with a multiplayer game that superb it's hard not to play it.

The multiplayer made it good, not the license, for proof think about how much you liked Perfect Dark. It was a straight up clone of Goldeneye by the same studio. They had all the same mechanics and no one gave a crap about the single player.

I didn't play the new Bond game but Goldeneye had a generic, not very good, single player campaign.

Actually I didn't like Perfect Dark. Yes I know I am a pariah. It's singleplayer game wasn't as good as Goldeneye's and the multiplayer was a case of too much of a good thing. Also you had to use the Ram pack with Perfect Dark or it looked like crap. Even more crap than the average N64 game.
