This is in regard to my mother's account. Whenever she tries to log in, it says her email isn't registered with GoG.com. She was just buying games about three days ago, bought The 7th Guest, Stonekeep, and gifted me Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition. So we know her account exists or existed. Any ideas? She's absolutely livid.
Is she using the correct email addy? Also, clear cookies and such. Make sure password is correct... etc
Oh and sounds like you have a cool mom.

Does she have the order confirmation emails? Just thinking that'd be the way to identify which email account the games were bought on (I have a few addresses and sometimes forget which I used to sign up).

The only other thought I've had is that maybe the login is case sensitive?

Just tested, login email address is not case sensitive.

Don't know, as I don't work here, but I am sure they'll fix it.

In the meanwhile, just use your account to do what she wants, or give her the seat.

If it affects you in any other way than an inconvenience, PM me and I'll figure out a way where she can buy. If just talking, she can do through you.

Just a thought, but do you each use same email address? Do not know this system, but if so, it might account for system confusion.

If I enter the wrong password, I get a generic email or password is wrong message, so it's quite possible that the email is correct, but the password has been incorrectly remembered. Try using the reset link, see where the email goes to.
She has requested her password from GoG and it said her email addresses, both of them, are not registered with the site. Which is where the major problem comes from. We've each sent in a ticket, though, so hopefully they get to it.

Hopefully they will, though I can't quite see what they can do.

GOG doesn't link validate its accounts (from what I remember), so my guess is that there is some mistype in the email. I would be interesting to know if GOG could actually tell you that, as technically they may be breaching the rights of another user with a near identical email address.

I'll ask again, does she have the order confirmation emails? They could be rather useful in proving that the games were bought in the case of the account having gone missing.

Of coursse, if the email address was mistyped when she signed up (as wpegg suggests) then the order confirmations would never have arrived.
I'll find out if she still has the emails. Thanks, guys.

EDIT: Got it figured out, she typed "Charter.com" on signup instead of Charter.NET. Thanks, guys.
