I think the worst movie based on a game was Street Fighter: The Movie, and I think the worst game based on a movie was Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game, which was technically a game based on a movie that was based on a game. Best, recent: Ping Pong, hands down.

Worst, recent: I'd go with the Ender's Game film.

I hated, yes, hated the Max Payne movie, it sucked so much, too short, and they changed the plot a little bit which resulted in the movie sucking even more, way to ruin what could've a great action movie.
