The Thing, and I mean the awesome 1982 remake, not the weaksauce 2011 prequel thingy.
In, please.

Dude, I am saying it again: Castle of Illusion is good. Better than the original. And it's a Mickey Mouse platformer. Plus movie remake Farewell My Lovely with Robert Balnkety Blank Mitchum!

Also, sequels: Army of Darkness, Bride of the ReAnimator, Batman 2 (with the Penguin).

Woohoo!

I personally look forward to sequels, reboots, and remakes. Enjoy seeing how they have improved or destroyed the original :)
I am in thank you kindly.

I would have to say that for the most part the reboots should just be a new game/movie and say based on the original instead of trying to reboot. Movies the reboot of Star Trek is actually really good.

Sequels as someone else said Terminator Fallout, and a few others the sequel is just as good, if not better, but then there are like the matrix where they forgot what the hell they were trying to tell us in the first one. Still waiting on Spaceballs 2: the quest for more money.
I am in, thanks.
My sequel theory is that game 2 in a series is frequently the best as the refine what worked in game 1, but when they get to game 3 they need to mix things up a bit or they will be accused of making the same game over and over, so they try something different and frequently fail miserably. If you sort GOG's catalogue by user rating you will find quite a few game 2s at the top of the list, and plenty of game 3s at the bottom.
+1 Sachys! I'm in for Bard's Tale.

How about a gritty Golden Girls reboot?

If it has to be video games,

How about a gritty Boy and His Blob reboot?
As far as sequels yes, I think they can often be Better, the list of movies, games, etc are legion.

I'm a little less likely to appreciate remakes however, sometimes you can be pleasantly surprised but do we REALLY need a remake of Robocop?

thanks to the Sigil and count me in.

should i win I'd like the Red Baron pack.

The Star Trek reboot is one of the best reboots I've seen so far, and is even connected to the original Star Trek universe, while most remakes barely even acknowledge the original version.
I'm in, cheers!
I'm in! Thanks!
I'm in, thanks S&S duo.
As for sequels. I'm generally worried about sequels. Although continues are bigger longer and more action, as a whole doesn't work as original. Of course exception exist.
Thank you for the giveaway. Please count me in. I think that remakes can be better than the original, with one prominent example being The Stanley Parable. +1
In and thanks.

As for the question, i consider Assassin Creed 2 better than the original game, so yeah, sometimes the remake/reboot/etc can be better.
In, many thanks

And Red Alert 2 is better than first one, IMHO, of course.
