Regarding the issue of it being abandonware; a Syndicate fansite it says this: "Note that in the law, there is no such thing as Abandonware. Downloading and using any copyrighted game without paying for license is a violation of law. But since the game is no longer in sale - this is the only way to get it.".

Abandonware is nonsense, from a legal perspective. All games on GOG can be found for free somewhere, there's nothing special about Syndicate.

Another new tidbit from Tom:
"Still plotting next major GOG.com publisher announcement. Announcing later than originally anticipated, but eh, still work to do!"
From that and the Polygamia piece, I'm guessing this means it'll be early next year versus this month or next.

Yeah, that came after. That's what I'm saying -- the initial plan was this month or next but since then plans have changed, so it should be early next year.

Guys, I think that there is a bit of miscommunication from our side. Reason is simple, we work now on three big announcements till the end of Q1 2010:))) so probably in different places our people think about different things (and also some plans were just modified). I’d say that the very hot period for GOG is just about to begin. And I’m thinking about nearest weeks or even days. Cannot spoil the fun. Anyway, you’ll judge by yourself, VERY soon:)
