I've heard of someone doing something like this with a puzzle game before but not with the mighty monkey island.

that wasn't bad, but it doesn't beat my idea of building someone up for a proposal (saying, I'm going to ask you the most important question of your life) and then writing out with the corpses of all black sheep in a field of snow "What is your favorite color?!"
