You may know them as the developer of elderscrolls and fallout 3 but over the past couple of years a they have done things that have concerned me ( a fan since 2004) i decided to let some things off my chest as a fan.. this is a message of positivity. How do you feel about bethesda

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFxH2soLFdw

I believe that the biggest thing they have to do is get better with game engines and release a stable game.

maybe this is better placed in the Bethesda forum?

Bethesda was a great company in the days when Tedders and LeFay were trying to produce something great, when Kirkbride with his boundless creativity created the lore, or at the times when Rolston created a system that turned players into content creators.

The Bethesda of today is led by Howard (a solid producer with the creativity and originality of a peanut) and Hines (one of the least trustworthy marketing people I've had the "pleasure" to read statements from, whose disdain of the modders that helped keeping the company afloat for years is legendary), uses the most aggressive lawyers in the business (continuously threatening people, even modders whose only goal is to keep Bethesda's creations alive), and has a forum with the most heavy-handed moderation I know (in which people get banned for posting a link to a site that may perhaps have a link to a mod that Bethesda does not like because it shows a nipple somewhere).

I still like their games, and I think Skyrim was a step in the right direction, but my admiration for the company has expired long ago.

Basically you're promoting your Youtube video and indirectly your channel.
And like amok said, this really is a Bethesda forum post.
what's with the left 4 dead while talking about bethesda?
I've been watching you video, and it seems all you're doing is presenting opinions as opposed to pointing out problems. yes, Bethesda shouldn't release buggy POS games on consoles, but you have to keep in mind these games are designed on - and thankfully, for - PCs. The OS of consoles is hugely different than PCs and from eachother, and whilst they may try thier best, there's also the pressure to release concurrently. Should they have delayed the PS3's version? Absolutely. But I get why they didn't.

I wouldn't worry about Fallout 4 being online; it's *well* known that no-body wants a Bethesda game MMO - people were interested in ESO only because they thought it would be Skyrim with multiplayer (which is the right way of doing it), but it wasn't. When that was realised, and it became apparent it was a poor MMO experience, people abandoned it in droves. I wouldn't be surprised if ESO lost the sub model faster than Star Trek did. Fallout 4 would be single player, maybe with multiplayer ala Fable 3; MMOing it would be suicide. Bethesda's been making some questionable choices, but they can't be that stupid.

I don't see why you didn't just make this as a post on the Bethesda forums. The video was short, and sorry, little of what you said felt like it needed to be some grand TotalBiscuit-esque statement to the company. You don't need to worry so much about them.
Hi, sorry as a French I can't get spoken English without much, much, much efforts..

Just posting to share my little experience of Bethesda games, so far I have only played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim..

Morrowind is my favorite of the three, though using overhaul, without I don't know for sure but more likely too aged, 3D can't help that. Oblivion had some ugly 3D models, especially our unfortunate women, but was still very good to me, the Shivering Isles was GOLD.. Skyrim.. disapointed me, because of the constant snow, north setting.. They chose that design, It just fail to renew itself unlike the two other games with diverse settings throughout. I did not run into much bugs and glitches either.

Just short impressions.. I'm still interested in Elder Scrolls Online, and play these two Fallout someday. Cheers.

Wrong place dude.
Skyrim is one of the best-selling video games ever.
Therefore, it is clear that the bugs don't matter much to the vast majority of customers.

You may prefer less buggy games. You may prefer newer, better, more robust game engines.
I suggest then that you don't don't like Bethesda games.

Find people making games that you do like. Then, buy those games.

"We are not allowed to discuss that" would the overzealous feminazguls that moderate the forums scream before they descend on you in winged fury.

not sure if there is much point writing a letter to Bethesda, but posting it to gOg, to be honest, even if you know Bethesda will not read it. Ansd doing it as a youtube video (with Left4Dead???) instead of actually, you know, writing the letter... I really have no idea what it was about, as I have no sound
I still wish we could see Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas on GOG.
Every time that I see this thread in the forum, a small chill runs down my spine due to the first three words in the title
