I'm going to post a couple of first impression suggestions I'd like to gets taken care of.
First off: Stop with the popups. Even though they aren't intrusive, they do not follow my regular internet usage, please include the posting of threads and replies in the original pages. Maybe use some celever javascript to make it pretty, just please don't launch another window.
As for the GoG Downloader, please make it possible to minimize it to the taskbar as a little icon. Small programs like these don't need to take up all this space.
I'll post some more as I get more familiar with this place, sorry if it was posted in the wrong place.

I agree about the post popup.

I really don't mind opening a different window for replying... I find it rather convenient as I can still easily see the thread I am responding to... I find other forum interfaces that show previous posts at the bottom of the page to be annoying... Having the scroll all the time to remember specifics of posts I am replying to gets old fast.

Agreed. Also some people should read others while typing before posting...

This I can echo. It's different, and it's very helpful. I don't have to rely on memory, or opening a new tab in the first place to actually look back for references.

in quick reply, you can view the entire thread in the same window as you post. I also hate the popup window because it current has loading issues and posting issues. "post my message" works maybe 88% of the time for me. And this is even when there are people not on the site.

I think I'm starting to sound like a broken record...
I haven't seen that problem before. What browser are you using?

Firefox 3, Internet Explorer 7.
Cleaned almost daily other than the GOG.com cookie.

Also, reproducible on 3 different machines, my work computer (winxp), my laptop (winxp), my desktop (winvista).

I'm running Firefox 3 in Vista and have never had a problem... I have also posted from a Macbook running Firefox 3 with no problems. Only slow downs, lag I've had here are due to network issues, not the site.

You don't post like I do. If they had a post count listing, I have no doubt I'd be number one.
You also probably aren't aware that I've actually lost at least 3 rep points in addition to what I already have. :P
