A Blizzard of Bonus Codes is On the Way!

As we discussed on Monday, our holiday celebrations are continuing; in place of our usual weekend promo, though, we thought that we would share the gift of classic gaming, because that’s what the holidays are all about, right?

We have a variety of games we’ll be giving away over the course of the next 48 hours, through here on GOG.com as well as through our main social media channels of Facebook and Twitter. If you’d like to maximize your likelihood of winning sweet holiday loot from GOG, be sure to follow and friend us!

Okay, that’s enough pre-giveaway banter, let’s get on to the juicy part.

This giveaway has ended; we're starting another one at 1700 GMT this evening. Check back in then!
We're going through all of the submissions and will be randomly awarding winners their games via PM shortly.

EDIT: The last giveaway has started. Check out the new thread!

Brandy soaked fruitcake and vanilla icecream
Well, we have some dishes which we traditionally have for Christmas. Not that they necessarily are Chrismas-only dishes, though, but we have them every Christmas and they're so good that I'm always looking forward to Christmas just because of them. I'm afraid I can't limit my choice to one dish, though. :)

First of all, there's potato salad with sausages. And it's not just your run of the mill potato salad. It's done with lots of ingredients you wouldn't normally find in a potato salad, such as small slices of apple, peas, carrots, and of course a hefty dose of mayonaise for the potatoes. The sausages come in all shapes and sizes, one more delicicious than the next.

Second, there's Sauerbraten. I've no idea what it's called in English (or Polish for that matter :). It's a German dish (I'm originally from Germany). I don't really know how to prepare it, but I know it involves soaking the meat in (sour) cream for several days. The dish is served with potatoes and red cabbage and it of course tastes heavenly.

Finally, there's a dish you *might* recognize and that's Gullasch. Again, I don't really know how it's prepared, but I know that dried mushrooms are added to the stewing meat. Here it is usually served either with potatoes or, even better, knödel. And of course a selection of different vegetables, such as red cabbage, peas and carrots, and cauliflower stewed in butter.

For desert, there's stuff like Weihnachtsstollen and also a Danish desert called Ris á l'amande (I've no idea why they chose a mostly French name for that).

Needless to say that mirrors are banned from the premises on and shortly after the Chrismas holidays... :p

Cookies ! :D
My favourite Christmas food, certainly i would say chocolate ...
I really like Christmas cake with rosins. :)
I'd like a turkey filled with rice...
Porkchop :)
This thing my dad and I ask Mom to make.

Cinnamon Apple Egg Casserole.

It's like having an open faced apple pie for breakfast, but with a crust that is more or less like an egg omelette. Yum.
Oatmeal cookies
Pie. of the Apple variety. I'm a dessert fiend.
Christmas ham
Ham!
pancakes
Turkey and stuffing never get old.
it has to be steam-cooked crab, sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves from mom.
