I wish by now everyone would've found a safer and more efficient resource than nuclear energy. Those nuclear plants are like bombs planted throughout everyone's country..

Hence what happened to Russia years back and what inspired the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.

The evacuation zones around the Fukushima #1 and #2 plants have just been expanded to 20 KM. And naturally, we're still getting a ton of quakes. Wife said that she heard it could be up to a month before the seismic activity stables.

It was sad to see such destruction to both people and property. I send my sympathy to all those who have been affected by this tragady.

Yeah, that's a pretty huge building that just got totally pulverized. Other videos show the first shockwave much better. Extreme stuff.

Fortunately it still doesn't look like this will turn into a Chernobyl-style incident. Fingers crossed.

It's some quake. Japan itself moved 2.4 meters, and the shift in landmass also caused the earth's axis to shift ever so slighty.

yes looks like for now. the radiation droped to 600 whatever and the coreshield is intact.
Now the US Airforce will bring some cooling device from Toshiba Industries to the plant to support the cooling somehow. It sounds like Science Fiction.

The accident was mainly caused by some leaking Hydrogen and Oxygen pipes or something. They say. And you know that oxyhydrogen gas just LOVES to ignite.
Causing some damage outside the core. As far as I gathered. Maybe someone else can fill in more.

But we just had another quake at Fukushima, level 5.
Seems like someone really don´t likes this plant.

Don't twist my words... you don't know me & you most certainly can't see where I am coming from. I don't need the news to tell me that if our own are in danger then we should protect them first & foremost... that is just common sense. Now that is not to say that I think we should give Japan the middle finger either.... I'm just saying that when some of our biggest cities are expected to be hit by the same Tsunami that hit Japan we should be more focused on saving the lives there & making sure that the majority (not all as Japan is more than welcome to SOME) of our resources go to helping those people & rebuiding our cities.

You honestly think it would even be logistically possible to give more than SOME help, anyway? Especially in such a short time frame? I.e. there's no reason to fear that the US (or any other country) will suddenly end up without resources or protection just 'cause they aid Japan?
