Cambrey: You really piqued my curiosity with that comment. I downloaded it right away and I have no regret. Paradise Lost covers The Cure, indeed.
Then you should totally check rest of their albums:

selt titled

The Realm Of Rust

The Edge Of Illusion

Dead words stolen from the walls of brave new cell blocks

Permanent Crisis

Also, it's Friday! (or Saturday, 1:00 AM here) So time for some fresh new albums for you all!

sleepmakeswaves - In Today Already Walks Tomorrow - if you want to listen to just one album this weekend, make sure it's this one! Beatiful, rich, full of imagination and melody post rock album, with violin parts and massive wall of sound every minute, just to surprise with you mellow, calmer segments. Art of sound, I say!

New Age Beats - M-ether 2 - wonderful, atmospheric and very, very relaxing chill-out/ambient compilation with pieces of delicate idm here and there. If you love works of Klaus Schulze, you'll definitely like NAB. Also, part 1 and part 3 (the second one is my favourite, but your mileage may vary :))

BitFellas Podcast #8 - one of my favourite episodes from incredible series of BitJam Podcasts - continuous mixes of finest demoscene, mod and chiptune muzak on the internet! Episode 8 is filled with soundtrack pieces from famous shooter games - Turrican, Apidya, Battle Squadron and Jets 'n Guns! If you miss the old days of Amiga/Commodore/Spectrum/Atari/whatever was your machine of choice - download it instantly!

Lossless formats @ bandcamp as name your price!

Strobotone - Flashback Forward - massive electronic dance album, styles vary from disco, boogie to synthpop and house!

JT Bruce - Universica - great progressive rock album from one-man band! Imagine if Mike Oldfield was a session musician of King Crimson...!

And last for today!

Nierty - Acolytes of the Descent - want some raw and brutal? Here's album from Nierty, excellent mixture of black and death metal, for those days when you just can't think about anything other than doom of the planet because that damn clerk in 7-11 works too damn slow.

That's all folks for now, see you next week!

Indie label Sounds of Zilence has some pretty good albums available for download.
I've been listening to the M-ether 2 album and it's a great, relaxing electronic album. Very nice to sit and just listen to.

I hope there will be more updates in the future, I really liked this thread!!
I agree. This thread is quite great.
First of all, I'm TERRIBLY SORRY for lack of any updates here, throw rocks and used diapers at me, I deserve them.
Second, hi again! This time, it's not only Thursday update, but this time it's much bigger and more varied than before. So maybe this time you will find something for your taste!

Post-Human - s/t - extremely short and nasty raw noise punk rock ep.
http://www.mediafire.com/?ceqno58xat6yakj

Nemo Asakura - The Older EP - to counter the above, short and sweet pop/rock ep.
http://mayoware.com/download/MYWR-031.zip

Redeemer - Caterpillar - excellent hard rock/heavy metal, greatly inspired by immortal Judas Priest, it DOES sound like some kind of "Best Of Unreleased" tracks.
http://www.jamendo.com/en/download/album/62990/?output=contentonly

Aurastys - Idea(l(s)) - interesting ambient album with dash of idm. Name-your-price.
http://lapfox.bandcamp.com/album/idea-l-s

Pathfinder - Beyond The Space, Beyond The Time - epic symphonic power/speed metal. Not really free to download, but hey, you can at least give it a listen online.
http://pathfinder.bandcamp.com/

Litmus - Perception Of Light - electronic ambient album with female vocals, very chill-outish but not boring!
ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/music/groups/enough_records/enrmp270_litmus_-_perception_of_light.zip

Pan Psychic - We Are Not Who We Are - massive goa/psytrance album from Russia.
http://www.archive.org/download/SSTAR04/SSTAR04_vbr_mp3.zip
http://www.archive.org/details/SSTAR04 <- FLAC/WAVE also avaiable!

Nine Inch Nails - The Slip - yes, seventh full-length album from NIN is free to download and remix.
http://www.archive.org/download/nine_inch_nails_the_slip/nine_inch_nails_the_slip_vbr_mp3.zip
http://www.archive.org/details/nine_inch_nails_the_slip <- also in FLAC!

Ravebusters Remixes II - excellent compilation of music remixes from Amiga games and demos. Stompin techno, moody new-age tunes, massive symphonical sounds and overall great feeling. Nice GUI inclulded, easy to extract mp3 files!
ftp://ftp.untergrund.net/users/ravebusters/downloads/executable/musicdisc/TRBS_Remixes2.rar
ftp://ftp.untergrund.net/users/ravebusters/downloads/executable/musicdisc/TRBS_Remixes2.1.rar <- fixed executable

Famicom Guitar
- what will happen when some japanese guy will pick electric guitar and play excellent cover versions of some old NES games music? You will probably answer "everyone and his mother is doing this on YouTube", but you don't want to miss this. Tendo made 4 (FOUR) albums of it, and he makes Megaman and Duck Tales sound like Iron Maiden.

The Ambient Collective - Sonic Strata 2 - big, 1-hour long ambient album.
http://www.archive.org/compress/SonicStrata2

And grand finale...

Oceans of Night - The Shadowheart Mirror - wonderful progressive rock/metal album with electronic pieces here and there. Scott (composer of the album) should drink free beer till the end of his days for making this album free to download.
