Does anyone know of a list for 3DFX or Glide only games?
I just purchased a Banshee for my 166 mhz PC. I'm wondering what games are 3DFX only. The first game I played on Voodoo when it was first released was Turok. Back when a card ran about $400 and you had to slave it off of your normal VGA card with a patch cable. Those were the days.
I've still got my old Diamond 3DFX Monster and it still works.

dreadcog: a Banshee

Holy wow. I remember the Voodoo Banshee back then. I think it was only second to the TNT, if I'm not wrong.
It's probably not complete, but there's quite a few listed here: http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/readme.htm#games
Also check out these lists:

Very good find! :)
Damn, I feel like revisiting the original Tomb Raider in its 3dfx 640x480 accelerated glory right now ..

Have fun with Lara :)
Thanks so much guys!
I was asking my friend if I should go with the TNT or one of the many Voodoo 2 cards they made like BlackMagic. But I decided to go with the Banshee because everything is built in on one card and it's genuine 3DFX. The PC I bought only has 3 PCI slots. So it was a tough decision to go with Banshee. It does have more memory then any other card at that time. Plus I'm not trying to play like Neverwinter Nights, so it should be okay. I read an article that said the VESA 2D rendering on it is the pinnacle of that technology.
We'll see what happens.

I think I have an old IBM "Aptiva" (it wasn't REALLY an Aptiva, I only used it for the case) lying around and I remember it had some Pentium II (450 MHz, I believe) and a RIVA 128. Epic awesomeness.
on a similar topic, what is the best 3dfx/glide wrapper around for modern cards (ati/nvidia)?

I used to use Openglide, it seemed to work well but that was ages ago.
As for 3DFX games, I think Apache Vs Havok was primarily 3DFX. Might end up trying one of the wrappers and see if that helps performance

You and me both. I love working on old computers. Getting those old games going again.
Like a lost art form.

Yeah, I always make sure to keep an old 90s computer around with at least Windows 95 or something. The old days when you had to force a game to run on unknown hardware and low amount of memory... wow.
