On a lighter note, What's your music of preference when playing or do you prefer silence so can be immersed in the game. Me, I prefer to just have the game noise with no other distractions.

I always prefer to play a game with in-game music and sound the first play through (assuming the game has an ending) to get the intended experience, but if I play it again I'll occasionally mute the music and listen to something else that goes well with it (sometimes the in-game music is so good that there's no need!) If it's a game without an ending, I'll just stick with the in-game sound until I get bored of it, and then I switch it up.

Windforge looks and sounds very cool but until I get a replacement game controller I'm avoiding platformers:)

Music...ah, my answer could roll on and on like a mine cart down a mithril vein but I'll say that it really depends on the game. What I try to do is play music that inspires my gameplay. For instance, when running an rpg I might have some folk and viking metal going on, when playing a game like The Guild or Medieval 2 I will play one of my medieval music mixes or one of the many great youtube channels.
