The last time I looked through the All games, sort by bestselling list, BG2 was #1 with Planescape Torment and other Infinity Engine games at the top.

Looking at it today, it's a completely different picture:

1. Inquisitor
2. Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude
3. Smugglers V
4. Realms of the Haunting
5. Tropico 3 GOLD Edition
...
14. Penumbra Collection
15. Race the Sun
..
20 Evoland
21. Baldur's Gate 2

Two things:

* How is this list compiled? Is it all-time? If so, that's a shocking turn of events.
* Perhaps this shows that the GOOD OLD GAMES crowd is the minority, because a decent number of those are recent/indies.

Yeah, the list is all-time, but in this particular case, it is a bug and it has happened before. Take note of Warsow (a free game), which is 14th. All free games are normally at the bottom of the list.

Yup. And AFAIR it happens quite regularly. And it's always Inquisitor which takes #1 (burn the heretics!) and I remember Smugglers being somewhere near the top too.
It seems to be a recent games bought kind of thing. You'll notice every sale for a good game, that game will creep toward the top of the list. Not sure what time frame, but it seems to be a what's hot right now.

Wish it were near the top for real, it's an excellent game ...

It's not my personal favorite. I must admit: the atmosphere, story, the way you have to collect evidences, interrogations and burning evildoers at the stake = pure awesomeness (and it's pretty unique too, not every game let you do that). But most of the time you have to grind, grind and grind. I don't even mind the difficulty but I found the combat mechanics in this game tedious and repetitive. And since it really took 80% of time I spent with this game (I finished it as a paladin) I cannot say it belongs to my favorites. But I'm glad that I bought this game and the story alone was good enough so that I absolutely don't regret my time spent on it.
Wow - top seller in the 'racing' category? - "SENSIBLE WORLD OF SOCCER 96/97"!?! (I guess someone decided that the 'racing' category should actually be 'Sports' but didn't rename it!)

To me it looks that the sort by bestselling option is gone. Don't know why, it was interesting to look which game is selling better than the others.
