Oh *bleep*. That hits my 'to buy' discount on Trails in the Sky, and Xenonauts is one I've been almost endlessly debating on. GOG may be $20 richer from me at least now.

During the introduction of local currencies and the beginning of regional pricing. As has been posted, apparently these are regional priced now as well. So it's a bittersweet return.

ddickinson: Don't put yourself down, I'm sure this will be just as much fun. After all, it's the lovely (and slightly wacky) people who hand around the thread that make them fun.

Although I can understand people being less optimistic about this sale, so close to the last sale. I would have left it a week or so and run the sale over Christmas. But I guess GOG is trying to host its sales at a time when the competition isn't hosting a sale. Like having their fall sale end just before Black Friday started. It was like it was GOG's version of a Black Friday sale but without the competition form the other online stores. This one could be their Christmas sale but hosting it early to avoid competition. Unless we are lucky enough to get a Christmas sale as well.

I wonder if this means that the Nordic games will also be returning with regional pricing? Not a good sign though, as soon every publisher could want regional pricing on older games.

I'm I'm going to hedge my bets, I'd be willing to state that there'll be a new year sale, maybe incorporating the mutator/pot of gold style promotion (buy three games, pick up to three surprise gifts). I don't think we'll have a sale extending over the holidays other than new year, simply because that would be -- in my opinion -- sale overload.

(Like it isn't already feeling like that at the moment.)

This is so weird. Another sale, during the Fall, right after the Fall sale, taking on the same format. But then writing "winter."

Very odd.

Anyhoots, enjoy the sale everyone! And I hope X-Wing gets some % off. That will probably be the only money I'd spend.

True, but there is always a fool's hope. :-)

Maybe it will just be isolated and will not effect the catalogue too much. But anyway, back to the Winter sale, I don't want to derail this thread into another debate about regional pricing.

LOL this is getting real for me too ;) I know Trails will have to be a pass (though that is right around what I wanted it for) but Xenonauts...

I have yet to pull the trigger as I contemplate my eventual haul.
