penumbren: Anyone have any thoughts on Divinity: Dragon Commander? I keep looking at it but I can't quite bring myself to pull the trigger, although my series-completionist-self is telling me to.

penumbren: ....and thanks for that pretty picture. O.o
I'm interested in this one too. I have every other game in the series, include Original Sin, but not Dragon Commander.

I don't have Original Sin; what do you think of that one?

I've done a LOAD of looking at this and I'm none the wiser, if that's any help...

Stilton: I was away from the screen a while there - I had to kick the dishwasher to get her working. Its my cousin, Helga. The poor girl lost all her zest for chores when someone stole Eugene, her yak. I haven't the heart to tell her we ate him last Christmas. He was a horrible, hairy, smelly thing that was far more irritating than useful. A bit like Helga, really. Still, she's a knockout on the tuba. We all have our redeeming qualities, I suppose.
Worst-case scenario, tell her Eugene spurned her advances and left to avoid her uncomfortable lustful glances. If you're lucky, she'll break all the dishes and retreat to the attic to play mournful love dirges on her tuba. You might have to eat off paper plates for a while, but the dish problem will be solved and you'll have music with every meal.

I haven't played it yet. I haven't finished Divinity II yet, and my C.O.D. (Chronological Order Disorder) requires me to finish Divinity II first. The irony of this is that in-game chronology would place Original Sin first. Real life chronology had me starting Divinity II before I owned Original Sin.

Also, they keep teasing me with an eventual Linux version, which I would prefer. If the Linux version drops before I finish II, I may just jump to Original Sin.

CarrionCrow: At least you missed Sinistar in a buttless latex unicorn outfit, biting their lower lip while blowing clouds of powdery sprinkles out of their ass? =)
And.... yeah. I had missed that image.... thanks for sharing. ;P

CarrionCrow: I went with the same urge you're having now. Saw it on a sale at some point, bought it to have more of the series then since there was no way in hell I'd pay full price.
That's where I'm at, too - I'm definitely not paying $45 for it. I'm just torn because I've got such a backlog already. I suspect it'll end up waiting for the next sale.

The trouble with that approach is she's into Herb Alpert at the moment, and hearing Spanish Flea with every meal is likely to make me throw up.
A blue eyeball told me to come here.

Obey the blue eyeball...

katya_stevens: I've had a very brief look-in (mostly testing to make sure for certain it'd work on my old laptop I'll be taking to the in-laws). I probably won't be much help on any questions though.

CarrionCrow: See anything good that's caught your eye? Looking for items I might've not noticed the first time around on the flash sale.
I have to be looking for the things that aren't on my wishlist due to Secret Santa. So far the baubles that have caught my eye are:

PixelJunk Monsters. It's $0.79. Almost anything is temting at that price.
Cognition: Game of the Year Edition. I have chapters 1 & 2 on Desura, and I enjoyed Chapter 1. It's $3.79, but I struggle with buying something I already own half of.
Battle World: Kronos. I hadn't seen this one before. I like turn based strategy, and I like that it runs on Linux. I like 75% off.

So far nothing has tempted me enough to pull the trigger for myself. The only shopping I've done so far is for Secret Santa.
Greetings fellow sale shoppers. I hope all is well. Looks like I'm having a bit of deja-vu today. :p
I have nothing outstanding to add to the conversation, just wanted to say, "Good morning, all." ^__^

EDIT: lol~ Foxy the red-nosed cheese man! XD

What, you're not going to sing and dance and recite poetry for our collective entertainment? -laughs-
Good morning. =)
