Arinielle: Hmm...neither bundle is interesting to me. Not my style. The hubby is interested, though. He's never heard of some of the games in the bundles so he's looking through 'em.

Luned: The Wing Commander saga is good, but my husband wouldn't dream of playing them without a joystick. Mouse & keyboard may be tough for those. If your hubby's got the right controller kicking around, they're a solid bet.
Showed that post to him.

"Hmm...yeah.." is all he said. -_- ...man of few words...

Thanks for the heads up. Not sure if he planned on getting it but it's something to know about.

Tekkaman-James: Good morning, all!

Glad to see people are happy about the surprise new releases. I'm not interested in them personally, but I'm glad it's given some people a much-needed charge during this sleep-inducing sale.

Arinielle: The hubby says he hopes there will be a Tomb Raider bundle.
avatar
Tekkaman-James: There was a Tomb Raider bundle during the Fall Sale last month, so I would think the chances of it reappearing so soon is not too good. Just my opinion, of course.
"Merr..." <-- His disappointment sound.

Alright....so ones that are in a previous sale aren't likely to reappear so soon in the next sale but maybe the one after it, then? Thank you. :)

IAmSinistar: The only qualms I heard voiced about the games were with Anomaly Defenders, which turned the pioneering Tower Offense games back into Tower Defense.
Can't comment on that one, as I don't have it.

Vythonaut: Welcome back Hyper.. only the tea, really, nothing else...

It seems I guessed right about the Wing Commander bundle! :-D

@Arinielle: hope you get well soon! :-)
Thank you. :) I'll beat this like I do everything else...but brute force doesn't work as much as I'd like it. Forcing a pained part of you into a brace and forcing it to do things isn't going to help matters. ...but I've had the cats purring on my arm some today...so they've been pitching in.

That's what I thought too, but then Heroes of Might and Magic and Wing Commander disagree with me.

Depends. Wing Commander or Might and Magic you can probably expect every sale. But a lot of titles are not as regular.

RWarehall:
This. There are certain "usual suspects" that you can almost always count on being bundled in any sale (i.e. - The D&D Bundle). Tomb Raider is not one such bundle. It showed up last sale and Legacy of Kain showed up the sale before that, so I'm thinking Square Enix will take a break from sales for a little bit.
Ho, that was my guess for yesterday... something related to space. One day in advance... I can see the future !!! :-O
Well, I'm not very into spaceship simulation games...
And the "tower defense" bundle makes me hesitate ; it looks like 5 perfectly identical games... :-| meh.

Only Anomaly Defenders is tower defense, the rest are tower offense :)

AgentBirdnest: HOLY CRAP!

Anomaly 2 finally DRM-free!
It was DRM-Free in one of the Humble bundles. (I have it)
Later it reverted to Steam only.

Oops, yes, sorry ; but they are still very similar, aren't they ?...

Not quite. It is DRM-Free on the developer's website and the insane fact is, that it was always available DRM-Free via the Humble Store... only as an Android version, even after the game's DRM-Free Windows+Mac+Linux inclusion in 3 separate bundles.

Yeah, pretty similar.
The Mobile Campaign and Anomaly Korea are pretty much the same as the original game, just with new levels.
Anomaly 2 ramps things up with a new lineup of transformable units, an upgraded graphics engine, and multiplayer mode - but it is the same basic gameplay.
I haven't played Defenders yet, so no comment.
