There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

IronArcturus: How are the Rayman games? Do they all work on Windows 7 64-bit? Are they all compatible with an Xbox 360 controller?
I have windows 7 64 bit and rayman forever didn't work for me,kept glitching up and freezing
Thank you sooooo much for Rayman, originally I was just going for Origins, but then I saved some money completing the collection. Now I have all four Rayman games.

I don't have an Xbox controller so I cannot speak there. As for Rayman Forever...

1. Browse to C:\GOG Games\Rayman Forever
2. Open the dosboxRayman.conf file
3. Change the line "cores=normal" to "cores=auto" (without quotes), and save.

Now play the game, other tweaks I suggest is the Graphics Mode Setup, and setting it to DDraw. In game settings, try changing video model to PCI2 slow graphics, and frequency to 50 if needed. Works fine for me and I'm using an AMD C60 Netbook to play it.

Edit: Just to add to Rayman Forever, some of the Rayman Designer EXEs (MAPPER.EXE, CLIENT.EXE, STARTUP.EXE, and RUN.EXE) will be marked as "infected with virus". Don't panic, this is a false positive and will not harm your computer.

I know this is an impossibility, but has Arx Fatalis been on yet? I know it's just wishful thinking as a means to know ends, but gotta have faith in something...

If you like platformers, go get all of them. All four are awesome and each one feature different gameplay, so if you end up disliking one, you may like another.

Rayman Forever: For me the best game in the series. It´s one of the best classic platformers out there in core gameplay, level design, exploration, bosses, graphics and even music (don´t forget to download the extended musics from it´s forum). I´ve replayed this game more than 15 times and I keep coming back at least every one-two years. It´s that good. It includes Designer, which features some harder levels and an amazing level editor.

Rayman 2: One of the best early 3D platformers out there. If you can enjoy them you will love this one. Personally it´s worse in some parts than Forever (worse and less bosses, many levels not that good, etc), but it´s still an awesome game, and probably on the Top 5 3D platformers on GOG.

Rayman 3: I didn´t like this one at first as much as the previous two, but it ended growing on me. It´s more combat, power up and score based, and the story is a comedy, but it´s awesome in nearly everything and I think I even enjoy it more than Rayman 2. It´s really different though, so you may enjoy 2 more than 3 or 3 more than 2.

Rayman Origins: This game is the most loved by most people, but personally it´s the weakest of the pack. Maybe it has the best graphics, but it´s more speed run oriented and less exploration involved. I didn´t find it like a challenge in most parts of the game, and was bored in many of the levels. It´s just not my cup of tea, although it´s still on top of the platforming genre. I just don´t enjoy the core gameplay or the level design as much as in the previous 3, but I haven´t seen many people disliking it at all.

If I could, I would rebuy all 4 again. They are that good. And I´ve ended up rebuying them more than once over time from their release...

No it has not been and, sadly, is not expected to

Hey GoGfellows, how's Strike Suit Zero? Good or great space sim?
It's a nice game, but it can drive you mad at some points. The objectives are sometimes extremely difficult for no bloody reason. I enjoyed the game but I found i a bit short. Best to buy the game in the flash deals.

You can try to get Director's cut edition on Steam. Not sure if GOG has DC edition. It's better and you get Strike Suit easily. You need this gear to win many difficult battles.

Overall, pretty game and has rare gameplay mechanic and genre.
DAMN. Just came back from university and missed Fahrenheit by 5 minutes. The reviews in this thread made me into buying it :/

Well still 14 days to go. i hope I don't miss it when it comes again on sale.

Strike Suit Zero Director's Cut is available for sale on GOG at this time, and the original is available as a "goodie". There's no need to send people to Steam.

yyahoo: Strike Suit Zero Director's Cut is the *only* version available for sale on GOG at this time, although the original is available as a "goodie".

It's noted in your link, but to note it here as well, the original version + DLC are *included* with the Director's cut, both for PC and Mac.
Is Slender: The Arrival really as horrible as the GOG user reviews make it out to be? I want it to be worthy... same with Lucius (which I passed on).

I bought Strike Suit Zero DC in the deals already, even if noone answered before XD
Hopefully, it will be fun, expecially in this improved version.

Personally, I thought it was a pretty decent horror game. There's not much variety to the "missions" (get number x of item y) and the levels are randomly generated, meaning that if you're lucky (and speedrunning), you can beat the game in under 15 minutes. The graphics look pretty nice and the opening level in particular is wonderfully creepy. It helps if you go into this when you're unfamiliar with the Slenderman meme (the reviewers obviously didn't, which might account for the piss-poor rating). At the current price, I'd say it's worth it for the ominous soundtrack alone. Give it a try, it's definitely not as irredeemably awful as people make it out to be.

Lucius, on the other hand, is pretty much exactly what the most helpful review states: A Hitman-clone with a "The Omen"-twist that is bogged down by needlessly opaque mission design. I didn't play a lot of it, but what I saw showed promise. But that counts for nothing when you're wandering around a huge mansion, wondering what the hell you're supposed to do.
