With 700+ games discounted up to 90% off, daily special Bundle Deals, a constant stream of exciting Flash Sales, and some fantastic surprise giveaways, we launch into the season of gaming joy!

The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our 2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

ZPavelZ: Almost all flash deals I saw today were those that I've already seen yesterday, by the way. This is a piece of information for those worried that they have missed this or that discount.
So far everything has been repeats of Friday. The only game I think we haven't seen repeated is Don't Starve.

It seems only games from these images will be into rotation through all days. ;-)

JMich: No flash sale, unknown if it's in one of the 3 unknown daily ones

The NEW flag means you haven't downloaded them yet.

Gotipoison: The NEW flag disappears after a bit, and I have plenty of games I haven't downloaded, yet only those two flashed up, so I still think it's a tiny bug with the flag that only checked the two latest game I bought, ahah. :)
I found that the new flag disappears once you click on it and have a look at the files to download.

XYCat: was there a deal on Panzer general?
Don't think so, as the flash sales are all repeating now and appear to have shown all but about 5 or 6 games that JMich figured out the graphics for. Here is the list of flash sales that have happened and are now in random-repeat mode presumably for the rest of the month:

http://birdiesoft.dk/summersale.php

For the daily bundles, https://secure.gog.com/forum/general/2014_drmfree_summer_sale_tracker/post1045 doesn't list ubisoft, SSI, or a strategic bundle though nor anything that would be a perfect fit for the Panzer General games to categorize into nicely. The "Tactical" bundle might stretch into it perhaps but I doubt it. Historically, the Panzer General games appear to have showed up in "World War II" promos in the past, and those categories aren't listed so I'd say "probably not".

I picked it up this bundle back in late 2012, which appears to be the last time it was on sale from what I can scrounge up, so it appears to be well overdue for a promo sometime, but I bet it'll be a random regular week day sale than part of a big promo:

http://www.gog.com/promo/world_war_ii_games

It appears the only other time it has been at a reduced price is the current 700 games defaulting to 50% off promo during seasonal sales each time around but no game specific promos to speak of. Doesn't appear that any other game retailers have had this title on sale at all either, at least according to http://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/price?plain=panzergeneraliiidassault

Hope this helps.

JMich: No flash sale, unknown if it's in one of the 3 unknown daily ones
The NEW flag means you haven't downloaded them yet.
The NEW flag only shows up for me when I first visit my game shelf after purchasing something, but if I leave the game shelf and come back later without downloading it at all, the NEW flag is no longer there. It'd be cool if the site kept track of which games you have never downloaded and put a flag up. I'll suggest the idea to BarefootMonkey to see if he might be able to add that feature to Essentials, although I'm not sure if it would be technically possible in any kind of reliable manner unless GOG exports the downloaded statistic in some way. Definitely would be useful though! :)

I've got my last 13 purchases undownloaded currently but no more NEW flags... No more disk space on my GOG download drive either unfortunately. :)
On the Main Page it sais:
"OVER 700 GAMES ON SALE"

I don't think the current rotation is final.
THough I would love to see Deadly Premonition ones more. I mean the sale is going on for another 15 days. Only this rotation would be a bit small.

/EDIT: Looks like they count in the 50% down games. Not the Bundles + Flash sales.

No longer have the email, but the one I got said over 700 would be on sale up to 50% off and over 200 would be in a flash sale. I think the rotation is close to set except for the bundles that will change daily

YES! That's good! So the chances of the last four games I really want currently to come up are quite slim.
And that means I won't be sad that I won't be able to buy them because I already spent too much money!
:-D

Upwards of 700 games are on sale for 50% off ongoing every day, while a fraction of that are taking place in the flash sales. JMich figured out the file naming convention of the background images used in the flash sale and downloaded all of them of which all games that have appeared in the flash sale so far were all in the list of graphic images he figured out. There are about 7 or 8 images decoded which have not yet come up in flash sales yet including Banished, Omerta, some DLC and a few others of which could be appearing randomly in future flash sales, or they could be the games they plan on doing flash freebies with (which is my personal hypothesis).

There isn't anything to suggest other games will be in the flash promos based on the file naming convention so it seems unlikely from what people have figured out so far. There will be some as yet unknown all day freebie promotion at some point, and some kind of contest as well (the two could be one and the same too), and they might have some unmentioned surprises up their sleeves also. I wouldn't count on seeing any undiscovered titles showing up in the flash promos though at this point.

Having said that, the game you mention explicitly is part of the flash sale promotion:
Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut $6.24 ($24.99) [75% OFF] (Ends Sat, 14 Jun 2014 13:00:00 UTC)
So it will probably come around again.

Don't think there are many uncovered surprises left in the summer sale though thanks to JMich and some other busy contributors figuring it all out. :)

Arx Fatalis
Clarc
Betrayal at Krondor
Symphony

But I'm not waiting. They just shouldn't come up. Please. No more money to spend here.

Yeah none of those appear to be in the flash promos that we're aware of, although there are some daily bundles that Clarc and Symphony just might categorize into: http://static03.gog.com/adhoc/2014_summer/images/daily_deals/summer_indie_platformer_bundle_260614.jpg
Assuming the title means "Indie/Platformer" rather than "Indie Platformer" :)

I'd like to lodge an official complaint with GOG.com.

Over the last three days, I have been tired with eye strain, my electricity bill is up. My partner is disgruntled and I am getting repeat phone calls from my bank warning me that I am going to have my card stopped for possible fraud.

This is unacceptable!

There is no need to do a sale that last so long with such deep discounts, this is a disgrace! Having gouged my wallet for nearly 50 games! Yes 50 games! I somehow managed to reach 200 games in my account. As a mac user I must complain that there is so much choice! How dare you make me game on my mac! As a mac user I demand that you instantly remove all mac versions except for your worst game!

Not only that but I will now have to play these games. I foresee hours and hours of my life with headphones in, in the bed late at night suffering more tiredness and eyestrain! My other half will be most disgruntled and peeved! Thank God they like football as the World cup is a great distraction while your nefarious ways make me repeatedly slam my wallet into the screen.

Yours Disgruntled,
A very happy gamer!
