The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

Eritherian: Hello,
there is almost 700 games with discounted price, but why for example SimCity 4, from year 2003 !!!!, is for 19.99$??? On Steam, it is available for 9.99$, no discount. Why is this game here so expensive? And why, there is no discount for this game??
avatar
Treasure: Well, Sim City 4 in Steam shows up for me 9,99 euros, which in dollars is about $20- so basically, it's the same price.(seeing that you are form the Czech Republic and all-which to my knowledge is in the eurozone- you probably confused the euro price with the dollar price)
My fault!! Of course, it's in Euros. I'm very sorry GOG. I saw 9.99 and I had to ask how it is possible. Normaly, it is in Euros. Once again, very sorry. Everithing is fine now :) Have a nice day.

phaolo: Divinity 2 for 4$.. I.. cannot resist..

(but is it good?)
I'm not through yet but so far I'm enjoying it immensely!
Do not laugh but i wait for powerslide. I checked many gog sales and it never was on the list. But now it is at least cheaper. I hope i will see it in flash sales. It is one of the games of my childhood. Powerslide <3

It seems we can't use our Fair Price Package codes to buy games that have been discounted to a qualifying price in the sale. Is this deliberate or an oversight?
How long are the discounts?
avatar
Ryurien: How long are the discounts?
Standard discounts til June 30th 12.59pm gmt
Hey, a sale !
If it were any other digital store with a 30 day money-back guarantee then I wouldn't buy so much in one go, but I have more faith in GoG's quality control. Nabbed 7 games so far, some of them old (the RPG classic Betrayal at Krondor), some of them new (have no idea what the fuss about Kentucky Route Zero is but I'm eager to find out). When this is over my wallet will be empty, but my gamer spirit will be full.

Has Red Shirt been up for discount or anyone know if it plans to be?

yes it is good. is not genre-defining, but it is good. it does have some difficult quests where items are hidden away and you really have to look around for stuff. there are also balance problems where you can easily walk yourself into a mob that can kill you if you aren't careful.

but it is a good game, I'd say it's worth $4 sure.

It has (75% off/ $2.49), but it most likely will pop-up again. ;-)
Ok, I decided to spring for Driver Parallel Lines and Race Driver: GRID as some brief web searching around seemed to indicate that people out there have managed to get them to work with the Logitech G27 racing wheel to some degree or another and the graphics look decent. Probably could get these games in a bundle out there somewhere in rotation for a song and a dance, but I've got a crapload of bundle racing games already and need to share some of the wealth with my favourite DRM-free gaming geeks in Poland so... :)

That brings the total sale pillaging to 12 games in one day. It's been quite a long time since I splurged for that many titles on a single day. Kudos to GOG for all the deals. Also I notice that not only are there more games on sale in a given day so far, but it appears the discounts on each game are also higher than usual too, which is probably offset by the short per-game duration flash sales. That's totally fine by me!

After a few more rotations of the flash sale items I think I'll have swallowed all the titles I want from them and can relax back to checking the daily bundles to the end of the month. All in all, this is a nice sale promo layout, very well done GOG! :)

I like these kind of sales, but having said that, id rather get the *must have * games in the early rotations than waiting later and later.

But the LucasArts game catalogue is not yet available on GOG.com so how is that possible? ;oP
