The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

skeletonbow: Naw, games always have price drops over time and gradually lower their regular price. It might take 6 months, a year, 2 years, 5 years, but prices always come down on games over time. We live in a world of recurring deep discount promos now too and people expect 75-80% off deals on games to happen so... they do. :) The key is just having patience and the more patience one has the better the deal can be had. Of course the more eager one is to play a particular game sooner than later the more one may have to be willing to pay for it or to act on a current deal that comes up, but I've got a lot of patience personally to wait out game pricing on just about anything these days. :)

This particular game seems to be of the rare breed that has some regular price stamina, but sooner or later they all succumb to the downside. :)

A buddy of mine is all apeshit over the Batman games and was anxious to get Origins when it came out for $60. I convinced him to wait it out and it has only been about 8 months since that game came out and I've already seen it on sale for like $6. I bet in another 6 months it hits $3 or so. It's all about the patience... oh, and the huge backlog to fill the time in between. :)
Every game drops in price, and most quickly (Skyrim, Origin-based games, and the Call of Duty series are exceptions).

And if you can wait, the Batman games eventually come out in a "Game of the Year Edition."

(I now wait for games to be at least 75% off (and under $10) before I'll buy. Besides, I have more games than I can ever finish.)

:)

I don`t buy games when they come out at all. Nowadays new games are full of bugs. If I wait a few months the game is not only cheaper, but also the most annoying bugs are corrected!

Yep, I got the first 2 Batman games in the Humble bundle a while back. I wont get the new game until it's either in a bundle or $3 or less for GOTY or similar. That might be a year from now or 10 years from now, either way I'm good with that. :)

Pretty much due to the huge selection of games out there (oversaturation) and endless sales it is all too easy to end up with zillions of games and just technically not need any more, so many such as myself and it sounds like you too name our price and then wait until somebody out there provides a game we want at the price we named. :)

As a general rule I wont pay full price for any game anymore for any reason as I almost never want a game so bad that I *have* to have it the day it comes out and pay the full price premium for that. Theoretically there are exceptions of course, and The Witcher 3 is going to be my first exception (although I'll proabably buy the pre-order deal the day before the game is released or something like that), and the same for Cyberpunk 2077. No other games coming out toot my horn enough to need them before they are < $5 though.

Some people think this is being cheap, which I never really understand that because we're never under any obligation to any video game company to ever want to play their game(s) let alone play them, and if we do think a game looks fun they make more money from us buying it at $5 than playing something we already have and paying $0 instead. If the rate of game saturation continues I think we might end up seeing 90-95% discounts being common and weekly blowout sales, and eventually companies will start paying us $5 to play their games. ;oP

Best time ever in the history of the universe to be a PC gamer, that's for damn sure.! :)

From what I read about Batman Origins, is that it is plagued with nasty bugs including ones that prevent you from solving the game if triggered, and the company's response was to tell everyone they're not going to bother fixing the bugs because they were busy working on new DLC for the game and they'd think about it maybe after that. I'm not surprised their $60 game is going for $6 on random sales now. :) Too expensive for my taste though! I'll wait for the as-bug-fixed-as-it'll-ever-get version that includes all DLC GOTY in 1-3 years for $3 on some super blowout OMG-Holy-Shit sale in N years... :oP

If anyone has a spare Wizardry 1+2 gift code they wouldn't mind slinging my way, I'd be happy to reciprocate with another $1.49 game bought when I'm awake. I've been missing it when it (infrequently) comes by by committing the cardinal sin of being asleep. I'm all GOG'ed out of looking at my screen, and sale weariness is setting in. It's the only game still on my Wishlist that is in the flash sales, and the others I can pick up at my leisure.
Help, so tired... :(
I'm going to be up for the next hour and then I *am* switching off this computer and going to bed at a respectable time for once this week. GOG sales, how I love and hate you. You give me so many nice things, but I have to stay awake for so long to get them *sob*.
At least Amnesia, you knew couldn't last more than a week. But this, this is on for another 10 days. *wail*

It seems, as if they don`t want that the people buy their games, it`s really extremely arrogant to say this! It`s like peeing the guy in the eye who feeds you!

The Alan Wake games both have fantastic graphics and from what I played of them they were fun although I got the sense that they were PC ports of console games, but they are still pretty cool. I'm surprised there hasn't been another sequel as they seemed to be successful games from what I heard.

Indeed, the interview that I read I got the impression the publisher was being very arrogant and dismissive of the customer base. I convinced a few people to not buy the game by sharing the article with them too. Don't have a URL handy but it probably wouldn't be hard to track down. I've got problems with another Warner Brothers game that has GFWL on it too so that company is on my no-buy without special circumstances list by default also. :)

cool. i also like your avatar. i've always liked the sg body style. i'm an acoustic man myself. recently got a martin dread so i haven't been able to buy so many games lately. but 6 bucks for alan wake seems like a steal.
