Together, we celebrated DRM-free gaming and it was awesome!

Our 2013 #NoDRM Summer Sale has come to an end. For over two weeks we offered you most games in our catalog for half their usual price, as well as thematic bundles and special deals with up to 85% discounts. We were also able to give out the excellent action-RPG Torchlight for free. We're happy to say, that 2,5 million free games were added to collections of users registered with GOG.com--veterans and newcomers alike. We're glad we could bring so much DRM-free joy to so many people! We've got you to thank for that, as your tweets, re-posts, and word of mouth made it possible for us to reach that many gamers.

Our Longest Day of Gaming super-sale proved to be the biggest in all of GOG.com history. Over the course of our Summer Sale a lot of people found out about GOG.com and discovered that DRM isn't the default in the gaming industry, and that there's very much gamers can do to affect how the market functions. In the middle of our discount extravaganza the #NoDRM movement noted a huge victory in the console parts of gaming world. We're not taking any credit for that, of course, but we're glad to see more and more gamers becoming aware of the risks of unreasonable DRM policies and demanding control over their games. We like to think, that our core values--DRM-free gaming, customer love, and free bonus content--are beginning to spread across the world of gaming. Again, you are the force that drives this progress. So, as we're thanking you for participating in our promotions, we would also like to say this: Gamers of the world, we salute you!

We hope you enjoyed our 2013 #NoDRM Summer Sale and that the games you got off it will keep you entertained for many, many hours!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to service downtime with one of our payment processing providers some of you couldn't complete your purchases on Monday, July 1st (between 7:46PM GMT and 9:18PM GMT). This was a worldwide issue affecting not only GOG.com users. The problem wasn't caused nor could it be fixed by us, but we're concerned with the fact that some of our customers missed out on our Monday offers.

We think that's unfair, so if you were one of those people, please contact our support. If your purchase failed during that time and your funds were frozen on your account, we will send you some free game codes to make up for your inconvenience.

Thanks for another amazing sale GOG

I keep recommending your DRM free gaming catalogue to many friends and family, and a few have joined up based on the many gems in your library

I've added a few more to my collection this sale taking my collection to over 80, now to find time to play all of them somehow haha
I actually only bought Rayman 2 from the sale, I didn't get enough money to muster to get what I wanted mostly, which was ArmA: Cold War Assault and Blood. Rayman doesn't work for me on my Nivida card because of the drivers, oh well. I still love you, GoG. :)
Thanks GOG! Found this because of some of those tweets. Great trip down memory lane, glad I get to experience these games again!

"I live. Again" \m/
GOG gods rule ;-)

Agent_Tau: The Add Linux versions of games wish is already over 10800 votes, btw, and discussion on the Linux support on GOG thread is still ongoing.
I knew there were a lot of votes, but that total is bigger than I thought.
Congrats, GOG! It's great to see you going from strength to strength, and always sticking to your core values, so that we can enjoy gaming the way it should be -- DRM-free. You're awesome :)
Thanks GOG for the fantastic sale, for all the awesome games, and for the best preemptive customer support ever*! Managed to cross more games than I should have off my wishlist (including the awesome Stronghold HD, that's been a serious blast) and help spread the fun around. Seriously, getting a game to gift someone at full discount if you already own the whole bundle was just awesome and made my friends and I ecstatic (especially with the DnD sale). Thanks for all the good times and here's to many more years to come!

*I download an old game on a Mac and it just plays? What is this witchcraft?!

alterecho: Its the other services packed with DRM such as Steam that needs to be on sale, since you are in reality just renting those games bought over there and not owning any. Here, you OWN what you pay for.

jalister: I do rent games from there, but cheaply. I really really wanted to play Left 4 Dead, and since it really is a multiplayer only game I took a chance and bought my first Steam game. I did get it on a good sale though. Then the great DRM free Humble Bundles provided Steam keys, so I figured I might as well register them. Now I will buy something there if I can't get it DRM free anywhere else, but only at a ridiculously low price. I'll buy $50 games after they go down in price, and get a great sale for $5 to $10.

I bought the Witcher 2 on GOG pre-release.
Yeah, any other digital game, other than GOG.com, is not worth the full price, and is reasonable only on sale.

HypersomniacLive: We thank you back :)

HypersomniacLive: Fixed that for you ;D
I think that relates to a lot of gamers, myself I have to 'replace' years with 'decades'.
Thanks for the sale. I didn't expect it.

On the contrary, I only bought 3 games for my friend from the D&D bundle. I didn't like these bundles and hoped for a Tomb Raider bundle.

Maybe next time ;)
Thanks GOG
Your customer centric and non DRM stance is second to none. The only time I have bough steam is via humble bundle. I even looked at them recently and though no I'm tied to them for the game not going to do it.
Just wish more big titles came out on GOG at the same time they hit steam.

Going to put my money where my principles are and pre-order Divinity: Dragon Commander despite now when I look at my exchange rate + paypal difference, I shudder a little. Of course I'll be doing the same for the Witcher 3 when it comes out as well. Just don't let CDProject censor it for Australian Markets this time ok.

Nice move to offer games to those who missed out due to payment issues. I did have a glitch one day in the sale and a game didn't process, but I checked my card no charge, tried again and all was good so not sure if it was the same day or not, but obviously no problems for me.

GOG keep working hard to get those AA titles, indie titles and titles from the vaults of studios DRM Free and I'll keep coming back.
BAM! That's what you call customer service, folks! The payment didn't go through and you missed the deal? They have the hookup.

Moreover, what an excellent sale! I didn't get to pick up a whole lot since I've been broke this week, but I did get to grab a few games that I've been wanting.

Thank you GOG and CD Project Red for being so damn awesome all the time.
Thank you for the sale. I bought e.g. the Heroes of Might&Magic bundle although I already own most of those games in a disc version.
Why?
Because this way I can play them on my netbook which doesn't have an optical drive. And they run fine under Windows 7. And I never got the chance to buy the Heroes Chronicles in a boxed format but always wanted to play it.

So even though I just found out about GOG, I already feel that they know exactly what I need.

Thank you for your great work.
I wish you (and the gamers) all the best!
Thank you Enigmatic T and all your helpers:)
Thank you GOG for the Soul Reaver bundle. Now I have the complete series.
