Torchlight FREE for the next 48 hours, 500+ Games 50% off until July 5, Daily Deals up to 85% off!

The sun is shining, the weather is sweet, let's begin GOG's amazing humongous 2013 #NoDRM Summer Sale. Most of the games in our DRM-free catalog (that's 500+ titles!) are available half-price until July the 5th. You can also expect special Daily Deals, allowing you to grab bundles of games (or in some cases individual titles) up to 85% off! To add a cherry on top that huge, delicious summer gaming cake, for the next 48 hours we're giving away Torchlight, a fantastic hack-and-slash action-RPG, absolutely free to all GOG.com users! We have a lot of exciting deals in store for you, so remember to check our site frequently.

Normally, this paragraph would serve to further encourage you to go crazy with our extravagant and exciting offers. We'll get to that. But there's something important we'd like to address first. At GOG.com. we talk a lot about the importance of giving gamers the ability to play their games where they want, whenever they want, and how they want. Gamers should be able to play their games on any device they own in any location, no matter the Internet quality. There is only one way to ensure that: No DRM.

In the last few months, there has been a lot of outcry from gamers over DRM and how it is changing our favorite form of entertainment. If it keeps growing, it may well take a large part of the fun out of gaming. As anti-DRM crusaders, we're very glad to see that the issue of restrictive digital rights management has become an item of public debate, and we want to make sure that our #NoDRM stance is clear. None of the games in our sale have DRM, and none of our games ever will.

Once again: More than 500 games 50% off until July 5. Daily Deals bringing the discount even up to 85%. Torchlight distributed as a free gift to all GOG.com users until Thursday, June 20, at 12:59PM GMT. We'll throw exciting offers at you daily, so consider following us on Twitter, , and YouTube just to make sure you're not missing out. That's it! The 2013 #NoDRM Summer Sale is now on. Have fun and remember to support the #NoDRM movement on GOG.com and elsewhere!
I've heard about the GOG Summer Sale alright, but this is beyond any of my expectations. Have mercy on my bank account people...

Yep. Last Christmas was my first big GOG sale (don't know HOW I missed last year's summer sale?) and I thought I'd died and gone to heaven :)
Summertime!

Bloodygoodgames: LOL, I just bought the two Alan Wake's and Anvil of Dawn. So I'm totally happy. The only other one I'm waiting for is Don't Starve and then I'll add a few more towards the end of the sale.

Actually, it could do if it's featured in a bundle. As long as you buy the whole bundle (or at least the games you don't already have) it could end up as low as 2 or 3 dollars.

assassin33: That is one of the games I think will not get bundled just do to popularity and also I checked Don't Starve and it is discounting for me.
Hey,

Thanks for the heads up on Don't Starve. It didn't show up on sale for me at all until I put it in my Shopping Cart and then went to CHECKOUT. Then it showed up. Will definitely be grabbing it as soon as I get my next payment from a client this week :)
These sales are why i'll never get through my backlog, oh well

keeveek: They change prices to some of the games.

It seems not all of them are supposed to be on sale. Examples: Jade empire, Wizardry titles.
Triock actually pointed out that Wizrdry 8 is half-off, you have to go through checkout to get the discount.

6 and 7 are still full-price, though, so 8's actually cheaper for the time being.

You're too late. The glitch is gone and the game is no longer discounted.

I've given up on the goal of playing through everything in my backlog. Now my mentality is that I am collecting the great games just to have them.

I'm a collector by nature, and GOG has helped me find one thing to collect that is not too expensive, and takes very little space to store. Plus the games provide great entertainment. Some of the indie bundles help too. I've been able to stop collecting the more expensive things that take up space.
I know that some people will have questions about this so here are some exceptions for the promo:

Square Enix, Bohemia Interactive, Capcom and Interplay catalogues will all only be on promo for one week.

Games which were released recently are not included in the promo. A handful of other games are also not included for various reasons.

Eador titles are 30% off and Night of the Rabbit is 20% off.

Well, fuck. Was planning on picking up Fez and Don't Starve later on but so much for that. Hopefully they'll turn up in the daily sales at some point.

I'm so glad that I didn't risk waiting. And those were just the first 5 games I bought this sale. More will come as I watch the daily deals.

LOL, how funny.

I'm guessing that's because it's coming up in another bundle sale later on (Indie Bundle maybe?) and, if not, no biggie -- My backlog is now at 118 games, so It's not like i have time to play it any time soon :)
soo...all 50%off discounts stay until july 5?

Same here. I was tempted to use the glitch and pick up Don't Starve and Expeditions: Conquistador, but then I looked at my backlog (which includes nearly 200 games) and thought it might be unfair to to GOG and the developers to pick up the games that were not supposed to be discounted. I can wait for a real sale.
