I hate being a sports fan in Toronto.
So, so, so many disappointments.

WOO HOO!!!! On to round 2. The game nearly gave me a heart attack!!!!
Damn I don't know how Toronto blew that one. And a game 7 Shut Out against the Caps, how often does that happen? What a weird and intense night of hockey!
If Bergeron-Seguin-Marchand actually continue to show up from this point forward, Boston has a chance at doing something.

As for the Caps, I don't know what on Earth happened there. That team is insanely streaky.

Yeah, pretty awesome game. Never stop B-lieving, haha. I am so stoked for round 2.

BIG BAD BRUINS FOR THE SERIES WIN! :P
Was anyone else surprised to see the Kings shutout San Jose? I personally don't think the NHL belongs in California at all, but I'm just a northern bastard. Still, I never give the Kings as much credit as it seems they deserve. Even their SC win I considered a fluke. I'm actually kinda interested in watching the rest of this series now.

I can't say I was completely surprised. San Jose has a strong team, but Quick;s the kind of guy that can blank another team on just about any given night. I was fortunate to see him play while he was with the Kings' minor league affiliate in Reading and even back then he was showing his calibre.

On a side note, it effin' kills me seeing those bums Carter and Richards doing well in LA.
Am I the only one profoundly at ease by the fact that 99.99% of the human population thinks the Wings are going to get wiped out tonight? In their last Cup final they were favored to sweep and lost and it still hurts. When you don't have a chance in hell it's all good. Sit back, watch the show, and if by some act of Cthulhu they win, you can call up all your friends in Chicago and tell them to eat the peanuts out of your shit. :D Man I love the playoffs!

Yup, I'm feeling that way even after watching the game. It wasn't nearly as bad as they could have lost, but I didn't expect too much from them this series. Wow is it amazing to watch Chicago, their puck possession play and the level of confidence exhibited look exactly like the way Detroit looked for all of the last decade. Utterly astounding. They played hard but made it look easy. I know better than that. Justin Abdelkader made them work for that win. It is just disheartening to see that Detroit didn't believe in themselves this game. Let's see what they look like on Saturday.
So, is anybody shocked yet by the way the post-season is looking mid-way though the second round? I would think Blackhawks fans are feeling a little bit speechless. Seems likely to push to 7 games. I'm not sure the Rangers can be swept, but that too is also looking like a slight possibility now. Anybody ready to make any bold calls on winners of the series?

I'm really hoping to be able to do this.

The day after the Blues went up 2-0 on L.A. I talked some smack and I think we know how that turned out. :P

Shit, you're right but dammit it's so tempting. IT's like every time with 1 minute left and you call shut out for your goalie, BAM oppenents score.

If they pull this off there will be plenty of time for smack talk. Be patient.

Gotta hand it to you , the Wings have looked pretty good so far. My boys need to pick it up and hit someone (preferably on the other team.)

2 wins does not a series win and even if the Wings win this thing I was joking before. I don't gloat because it's always been a real sore spot for me when other folks do. May the better team win and after words we all grunt and give each other manly fist pumps. :-)
