Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

The catalog only shows some of the games I own as owned. Others are shown normally. This is quite annoying when you have more than 100 games here.

tailsy64: Just wondering if anyone has been charged twice during this sale? I bought Rayman 3 and I was charged twice according to Paypal. I did e-mail a support claim hoping to get the extra $2.99 back, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had the issue too.

I'm not downloading the game until I know only $2.99 was taken out and not $5.98. I love GOG, but if they put back all the money by mistake, I don't want a "stolen" game. I just want it for the sale price.

DRM Free is awesome and is the reason why I buy from GOG, but I'm not gonna abuse it or give companies a "See, see, this is why we need DRM on our games" thing.
There has been a few reports. Support will fix it for you :)
Server-side, things are starting to clear up. We'll hopefully get everything turned on and back to operating how it's supposed to in another few hours.

The sale lasts for 16 days, according to TET in this post.
GOGs servers increase seems to have finally kicked in... browsing is 100% more enjoyable/possible now.

Thanks, glad I'm not the only one who had this issue then. :) Really do like buying games here. Personally I check here before Steam. Maybe not the same exact library, but if GOG has a game Steam has, I'll buy it here just for the fact it has no DRM or requires a client and internet for installing.

Will those 50% discounts remain throughout the whole sale, so that I can wait for a bigger discount and if I don't get one, buy those games at a 50% discount on the last day?

SOmeone mentioned thats probably the way to go. GOG usually informs us when any games/publishers only put certain games on sale for x amount of time
My advice is to wait for a daily deal until the last day. Simple as that. If the game of your choice is still not on a better discount you can always grab it then or after gog said they'll pull the game from sale earlier.
I wonder why no one ever stickies a major sales thread like this ?
The games on sale don't show whether I own them already or not. Is this something that was caused by the server overload or was just not implemented?

If you can, please implement it, so that I only buy what I don't own already.

Keep it up, GoG. You guys rule.
