Got myself a new mousepad last week - a piece of purple construction paper :-)
Also, picked up a copy of Sword of the Stars here recently. Something tells me that I'll be "wasting" a lot of time with that.
And a friend just gifted me Supreme League of Ultimate Patriots from the weekend sale, which I plan to start today :-)

I figure that's a good place to mention the Official Stop Buying Games Self-Help Group. :)

Last game I bought was Octodad: Dadliest Catch. My almost-6 year old saw it at a friend's and wanted it. Turns out it's quite a bad co-op game if you want your kids to be civil to one another. It's damned hard to control it well by two.
This is exactly the kind of incredibly important information that needs to be shared. Supreme League of Ultimate Patriots looks so good I may have to suspend my no adventure games policy for that one.

It's great, a bit slow at the start but gets quite fun.
Since the 'Post your physical games' thread has been archived, I'll post here to show off some stuff I bought. I picked up a copy of the Portal of Praevus expansion for Hexen 2 to replace my lost copy, and games I wanted to buy back in the day but never did (and not yet on GOG), Terminator: SkyNET, Chasm: The Rift, and Tank Commander.

Bought the Dust: An Elysian Tail collector's box from Indie Box since it's one of my favorite indie games and I like having feelies for games that I especially enjoyed, and I bought a boxed copy of Lethal Tender. :-) The cover art and the concept of the game are like a cheesy 80's action movie, but the game had some pretty interesting gameplay implementations for its time, even if it was a really short game.

Here's a few more of my most recent big box acquisitions. I got a nice raise at work recently, so I'll be visiting my local retro game shops to pick up some more old games and possibly hardware in the next few weeks.

Your Desert Strike lacks the Amiga version logo.... LOL...

Impressive.

I'd love to check out many of the Amiga games I missed out on back in the day, alas I already have so many games and so little time to play them. :-)
Videogame shop had copies of Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner, which I've never seen anywhere. Got Bravely Default.

I think that is a common disease here. :-)

At least among the "oldies" in the forum, which you, looking at your join date you are part of.

ZoE 2nd Runner is one of the only ten or so PS2 games I ever got, I really enjoyed that one. Since the PS2 was the last console I bought, I don't know how the HD version compares to it.

Nice! I can't remember much from Starlancer, but I can remember playing the demo (or maybe got the full version from a friend) and having my mind blown back then. Also, Exhumed (Powerslave in some markets) is such a great game; spend quite some time playing it on the PS when I was younger and it was definitely one of my favourite FPS at the time, along with Final Doom, Hexen, Disruptor & Alien Trilogy.
I bought Goat Simulator Complete on Bundlestars "star deal" today for $4.38 CAD which included all 3 DLC released for the game so far (not including the soundtrack). Great deal.
