Shovel Knight has some nice pure chiptune music, expecially when you factor in the expansion.

Undertale also has nice chiptune music, though it's not pure chiptune music (there are other instruments used as well).
Here's a few:

Chipzel
Inverse Phase
RushJet1

edit - some more as well:

Chipocrite
8-Bit Operators

and I'd include a link to that chiptune cover album of Miles Davis' Kind of Blue that Andy Baio released some years ago but the official site for it seems to be down permanently (I have vague recall that some legal issue was had regarding the digitized cover art and I really hope that didn't ultimately lead to the album's demise) so I can't do that.

I like Super Castlevania IV's treasury room music.

Edit1: still Police quest 2 intro is one of the greatest thing ever too.

I'd like to add that Groupees often do Chiptune music bundles whereby you can discover new artists, and if you pre-order the bundles, they're quite cheap.
I don't think I can specify definite favourites, but , [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQd9StnbLpQ]Mesu Kasumai and have some awesome tracks. Several years ago, I used to download every new album I could off the [url=http://www.8bitpeoples.com]8bitpeoples site, but I know practically nothing of artists beyond that.
Disasterpeace. You can find most of his stuff, in not all, on Bandcamp.
Alistair Brimble: Wrath of Earth intro

Kenny Chow: OMF2097 Stadium

Riku Nuottajärvi: SC2 Traddash theme

Okay I read that as 'Chipmunk'.

I have two of their Christmas albums.
Probably not what you're looking for but I really dig Machinae Supremacy. They themselves refer to the genre as "SID Metal". I'm not actually big fan of chiptunes nor metal but I really dig what they are doing.

Curiously people never seem to cite AdLib music when discussing chiptunes even though it technically should be considered chiptune music. That said, personally I don't like the AdLib sound, the Tyrian soundtrack is one of very few soundtracks composed primarily for AdLib that actually sounds pretty great on AdLib, IMO. Btw, it never occurred to me that the soundtrack was composed by Alexander Brandon of Unreal and Deus Ex fame.

I kinda like those synth sounds.
It's made by the YM3812 chip and was relatively easy to make music for as it was in a lot of (cheap) keyboards.

The Super Hexagon soundtrack by Chipzel is awesome.
Thanks Barry for making this thread, insta-favorited. As an avid long-time chiptune fan I've been meaning to start a thread about the same topic for quite a while but all this listing stuff is traditional Barry territory anyway!

I always thought chiptunes were meant to sound like classic game music.
CTRL+F "Tim Follin" No results.
CTRL+F "Rob Hubbard" No results.

GOG, I am dissapoint. You can't really make a chip thread without mentioning those two greats.

Rob especially. He made so many music chips "sing" beyond their capabilities that it boggles the mind.

This one here, for Monty on the Run, it's probably the most manic tune I've heard.

As for Tim, I hope you like your NES with techno.

What's that? You want real guitar on your SNES? Sure!
