Bam.

I'm lazy.

Also I can't watch most of these, I don't have a Bluray player and refuse to pay for software to play them on a PC because of that whole DRM stupidity.

I use VLC to play them on my PC.
El-Zilcho. I realize streams aren't the highest quality and Netflix is a lottery, but it and youtube serve all my needs.

lazydog: I have not experimented with PC blu-ray players but was considering using them for backup purposes.
Makemkv coupled with Handbrake are your future friends ;) Put those backups on a pocket-size hdd that you can bring along on vacation and you'll never care about burglary anymore ^o^
i love blu rays , hoping to grab a ton of them when they become cheaper right now they are way costlier here

very interesting, will check these tools out. Many thanks!
Sadly I have none to show off. Actually I had one but I lent it to a friend and never saw it again... I need to track down that bastard. :)

I have Wings of Honneamise and Guardians of the Galaxy on Blu-Ray and that's it. I've got tons of DVDs but when Blu-Ray showed up, I though that it was too similar for me to replace my DVDs with, so I decided I'll just hold off for whatever comes next. Then everything went to streaming which I didn't care for, so I haven't really spent much on movies in a very long time. If GOG's plans for DRM-free digital movies comes to fruition, that's definitely the way I'll replace my movie collection.
Latest addition to my collection:

Ninja in the Dragon's Den

A classical 1982 martial arts flick and my personal favorite in this genre. Kung fu at its finest! Amazing fight choreographies and stunts, and also surprisingly well directed. As a kid I watched it countless times. Last year it was finally released on BD in Germany. The German title is pretty dumb, though: Ninja Kommando. Sounds more like one of those 80s karate movies with Michael Dudikoff or Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Picture quality is what you'd expect from such a dated special-interest movie: No high-end restoration, but overall good, except for one two second long shot where they obviously couldn't find better source material. It's also worth mentioning that this is the first uncut release of this film in Germany, including all the death scenes. The sound is available in German, English and Cantonese DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0. Only real flaw: No subtitles at all. Extras are trailers, deleted scenes, galleries and biographies.

The movie itself is a hands-down 10/10, the BD a solid 7/10.

here's my collection (not much compared to some people)
Hellsing Ultimate (1-10;1-8 in artbox)
Yu Yu Hakusho complete series (4 boxsets)
Star trek (1-6;2009, Into Darkness)
the Avengers
Full Metal Panic:TSR
Attack on Titan (2 boxsets)
Gundam Unicorn (1&4 NA copies. 5-7 Japanese imports & 7 is LE)
Guilty Crown boxset 1 (LE box;won from IGN)
Needless (2 boxsets)
Gravity
Sailor Moon season 1 (RS LE)
for watching the stuff, I use a program to copy to my HDD and then play using my player of choice. I paid for the disks so let me watch how I want to. I also own the only blu-ray player in the house so some stuff I didn't list is not mine but I listed what's mine
I don't have a blu-ray player. I have maybe two hundred DVDs from some time ago; all my favourite movies and then some. But they've pretty much just been gathering dust, with only a select few have been watched more than once. Blu-rays would be the same, and I'm not planning to buy all that again. In fact, there would probably be better uses for all the storage space they're taking..

NOOOO!!!!!! Would have been great it was in Cantonese with English subs. I miss the Hong-Kong Legends DVD era :(

Makes me remember, I still have to watch the last two epidodes of Nikita TV series but I don't want it to end :(
For Europeans, the best deal is the UK complete blu-ray box set for only 35 pounds:

I feel sorry for all the people who thought the next big thing is going to be HD discs instead of Bluray.
