Google gave me no response, and subforums for games are pretty much dead, so - asking on general.
Does anybody know if these games are 30fps locked?

Sometimes I feel like GaG need a tag for such stuff.
Inb4: yes, I know that 2D/turn based games doesnt require 60fps. Yet still I get headache when play stuff with slow UI - couldnt finish icewind dale due to such issue
upd: oh, there is already such point in wishlist

Your headaches could be caused by some aspect of your screen. Laptop screens aren't always the same quality as standalone ones.

dunno, Im fine with my laptop's screen. Also I've had same issue on my PC before.

Anyway - do you, by any chance, know about possible framerate locks in said games?
If no - please, pass, its really hard to discuss subjective things like this - some people have no problems with framerate, others (like me) experience issues (I've tried to find correlation between being affected by low framerate and flashing lights, but wasnt successfull due to lack of people with similar problems around)
How about just downloading a demo version and trying it to see if it's "uncomfortable" for you? AFAIK each of the games in the OP should have a demo available.

Do they? Atleast on GoG there are no demos (or I've searched badly). And google leads to warez sites (which may be considered as demo but kills the whole point) :S

If you do not trust sites like moddb.com, I'm out.

tbh moddb is only site in this list, Im aware of
Cyberlore Studios are the devs of Majesty Gold.

FilePlanet was a great gaming site back in the days, but was closed down, along with its founder, GameSpy. Now works in archived mode, and has dark-blue background.
Apparently there is still an active part of it (the one with white background) that offers all kind of software. At the bottom of this one are the links to the Old FilePlanet and its archives, 1 to 9.

Now back to your games, I tested Majesty Gold HD, but unfortunately neither FRAPS nor RivaTuner Statistics Server/MSI Afterburner were able to show the FPS counter, on a Windows 7 system. Tried with both the Intel IGP and Nvidia GPU, but no luck. I think is the second time when FRAPS fails to show correctly the FPS in a game (RTSS/MSI Afterburner have failed me more). The other time was again an old game, but don't remember which one.

While running the game, I can't say if it's limited to 30 FPS or not. The game settings are located in \My Documents\My Games\MajestyHD\, in a file without extension called MajXPrefs and you can open it with Notepad or any other text editor. I played a bit with the settings in here, but it made no difference in showing the FPS.

There's more info on PCGamingWiki, if you end up getting the game. Good luck!
