Def. not Darwin, certainly once you move beyond the Anglo world.

Kropotkin (atheist) was a contemporary and a huge critic of Darwin, on the view that Darwin, not unlike Adam Smith in Economics, fell into this English mindset of viewing everything in the world through the lens of Competition!, and de-emphasizing or dismissing the role of mutual cooperation and support in society and development.
