Hi GOG, the offline game installer of X4 Foundations 6.00 hotfix 2 german is broken. I can't start the setup it stops with errors message.
Tryed this with two different PCs without success...
Please check this, thx

You should contact Support. Don't forget to tell them what the error message is, if it's relevant.

If it's that a file is corrupt, or missing then should make sure you have the right file(s) all downloaded.

If it's something beyond that, i don't know i'd have to see the error message(s).

downloaded the exe and 5 bin files
setup_x4_foundations_6.00_hotfix_2_(german_64bit)_(64141)-1.bin
setup_x4_foundations_6.00_hotfix_2_(german_64bit)_(64141)-2.bin
setup_x4_foundations_6.00_hotfix_2_(german_64bit)_(64141)-3.bin
setup_x4_foundations_6.00_hotfix_2_(german_64bit)_(64141)-4.bin
setup_x4_foundations_6.00_hotfix_2_(german_64bit)_(64141)-5.bin

If the setup exe "setup_x4_foundations_6.00_hotfix_2_(german_64bit)_(64141).exe" launch the error occur.
see attachment.

I have the old files from hotfix1 on my drive and the exe works correctly. Seems to be a issue with the new exe

ONLY ever use the ENGLISH installers and this goes for all games in this shop! GOG should completely remove all other as now people keep downloading broken or outdated installers. You can change the language when installing.

I am amazed to see it has been updated as it was not for many years. Of course GOG should fix it somehow.

Some titles, especially older ones still have their different localised versions "outsourced" into separate offline installers though.

X4 foundation has a own localisation in german! Need to download this files and install it ;-)

Then it should be fixed.

I tried the German installer and it is indeed broken.

GOG will hopefully fix it on Tuesday when they return to the office.
