I thought GOG and Larian were tight with each other: the first game was a big GOG title, the second one had GOG as the leading platform listed on the Kickstarter ... but now I am seeing that the game has been out on Steam for a month, while GOG has still only got "TBD / is planned to join the Games in Development program on GOG.com in October 2016."

WTF happened?

I mean, I am not being butt hurt about this (I am quite busy with Shadow Warrior 2, have Titanfall 2 on pre-order for later this month, and haven't even started playing the first Original Sin) but it seems like a really weird reversal of fortune between GOG and Larian.

Well, the way Larian decided to deal with multiplayer outside Steam in case of Dragon Commander was poopy enough for me to have rather cautious approach when it comes to Larian guys and their games.

of for sure ... Divinity 2 was a train wreck & then Larian selling was should have been a mandatory patch as part of the DLC made me very gun shy with their games. I actually skipped dragon commander, passed on the Kickstarter for the first Original Sin, and then only went in on the kickstarter for Original Sin 2 because they had a bundle with both games on GOG & it seemed like it would be a a good deal for a lot of content.

Yeah, I wouldn't be playing it till it fully launched even if it was on GOG right now; just thought it was weird that GOG seems to be getting snubbed on this and has no release date / hasn't been promoting it even though it was listed to hit GOG's Early Access this month.

You know that the month isn`t over yet?
To quote Thomas one of the Larian bods, he posted this on the most recent Kickstarter update

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/larianstudios/divinity-original-sin-2/posts/1712732#comments

"About the GoG release: We're working closely together with GoG to get Divinity: Original Sin 2 working on the Games in Development platform. It's coming together very nicely so it will be ready soon, really soon. You will hear it here first when it's available. Thank you all for your patience! - Thomas"
GoG may require their In Development games to be in a reasonably playable state. Steam has no such requirements.
It's too niche.

If I had set this up as a question, I would have marked your comment as the answer.
